Welcome to the Beach Shack on the Lagoon, a delightful holiday chalet nestled in the picturesque town of Berrara. Located within the Berrara Beach Chalets, this cosy retreat offers a modern design and is perfect for a relaxing getaway. With two bedrooms and one bathroom, it can comfortably accommodate up to five guests.

Inside:
As you step inside, you'll immediately find yourself in the open plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area. The lounge features a comfortable beige L-shaped sofa adorned with three cosy blankets for colder months. The room is tastefully decorated with pelicans and beach-themed accents, creating a serene coastal ambiance. Above the lounge, a large decorative wooden canoe adds a touch of rustic charm to the space.
Underneath the TV, you'll discover a collection of movies, books, and board games, ensuring there's never a dull moment during your stay. Moving past the kitchen, you'll find a shower and sink area adorned with stylish dark green marbled tiles. To the left, there's a separate toilet for added convenience. Further along, you'll reach the two bedrooms, one of which boasts its own TV.
Outside:
The chalet also features a lovely veranda with a table and chairs, providing a perfect spot to enjoy meals or simply unwind while taking in the tranquil surroundings. Additionally, guests have access to a barbecue, ideal for alfresco cooking and dining. A fireplace is also available for use, but please note that guests are required to bring their own firewood.

Upon booking we require a security deposit plus credit card details. Once the property is inspected after your departure and no issues are found your security deposit will be released into your nominated bank account via BSB and Account Number and credit card details are destroyed within two weeks.

Summary: My husband, almost 2 yo and I had a blissful couple of nights in the chalet. Our daughter loved all the wildlife that was close. The beach was a walk even miss could do. The lagoon, even easier to access. The chalet was well presented and had an impressively equipped kitchen! Will certainly stay again :)

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at this property, very comfortable and clean. A few maintenance issues but the agent was very responsive. No linen, tea or coffee so bring your own, but everything else you could possibly need in the kitchen. Lovely spot, the kangaroos were amazing!

Summary: We enjoyed our time with the beautiful view…. The photos are actually exactly the same as the view. Very neat and clean little lagoon. Enjoyed the fire place in a rainy day so much. The only issue was locking/opening the front door. The rest was perfect

Summary: The location on the lagoon and a tributary provides excellent water access for paddling, especially at high tide. The view is superb but the lack of shading on that aspect means the chalet gets baked by the afternoon and evening summer sun. The area was quiet and the wildlife abundant. The chalet had some maintenance issues and some features didn't work, plus it tends to get hot in summer and is likely cold in winter due to being draughty, but it does have reverse cycle A/C and a wood heater. Just needs a bit of investment to update it and ensure things work correctly, and to improve comfort. Was good value for money. The dog exclusion rule means that the kangaroos feel safe to live amongst the chalets, making for great photos. If you want to be offline, the location is great, but if you want mobile network, forget it, as the location has barely any reception even for the best devices, and there is no other internet option. There's just enough mobile net for text messages and some email but little more (1 bar of 3G or 4G depending on the device and its position). But you can get decent reception on the nearby beach. No functional Telstra Air connection despite there being a public phone booth at the front of the chalet complex. But hey, for holidays off-grid or with minimal connection, it's great. BYO pretty much everything for food as there's nothing in Berrara for resupply but there is a store and cafe a couple of kms to the north, but with limited opening hours. Otherwise plenty of food options in Sussex Inlet area.
