Positive: Fabulous house, which was beautifully kept. Everything you could think off was available, including kitchen facilities and even white fluffy dressing gowns in the master bedroom. Location was perfect, beach, pub and cafe within walking distance. Michelle our host, was extremely helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again.

Negative: Outside space is limited to a small yard at the back Unusual location - the back looks out into the touring camp site - but we found it interesting! The front looks across the car park to a small electricity substation

Positive: There was almost no noise after about 8pm. The house is right by the sea and, waking up, in the wonderfully comfy beds, everything is so quiet apart from the birds. The house is very well-furnished and very warm. The huge settee and matching armchair in beautiful blue leather is gorgeous and comfortable. We enjoyed watching Netflix. We cooked some meals in the very well appointed kitchen. There are three toilets, one shower and a bath (with shower over it, I think) so the three of us never got in each other's ways! We could walk to the attractive village in a few minutes where there is a great traditional pub which goes like a fair. Live music, too. It was easy to get to Whithorn and Wigton, with excellent shops , pubs and cafes.

Negative: There isn't much in the village, just a cafe and a pub, and a shop at the garage. Our back door looked onto a Club campervan/caravan site. But it did not affect us at all. No noise at all.

Summary: An excellent base for seeing the wonderful Galloway Coast.
