5 Bedroom House in El Rito

This property is situated in the town of El Rito 50 miles north of Santa Fe off the Chama highway. Within an hour of Santa Fe, Toas, Pagosa Springs this property is perfect for out of town skiers, hunters, fisherman, artist or anyone who is trying to get away for some peace and quiet. There are 5 major ski resorts within an hour. The world famous Ojo Caliente mineral springs is within 25 minutes from the property(17 miles). The main house has been completely remodeled with modern appliances and kitchen with granite counter tops, radiant in floor heating and all the amenities of modern comfort. The house has a green room sitting area with citrus trees and view of the Sangre de Cristo and Jemez mountains. A short 5 minute car ride will have you in the Carson National forest along the El Rito river. There are 3 bed rooms in the main house, 1 King, a full, and two twin beds in the third bed room. The detached guest house has one bed in the loft and two fold out queen couches. This house easily sleeps 12 guests and has plenty of room for fifth wheels and other off road vehicles. The town of El Rito has one small very well known restaurant El Farolito where you can enjoy some of the best authentic food New Mexico has to offer. There is Wifi in the main house for internet connect and access via the TV to your Netflix or other internet based movie watching accounts. Washer and dryer included, outdoor grill and all the things you will need for your stay.

Summary: We loved the location. Easy to drive to skiing, shopping etc. The online pictures don’t do the house justice. The home was well stocked with everything we needed. Was a great way/place for our family to end 2023.

Summary: Very nice place. Fabulous master bedroom. One of the spare room beds was sagging. Well stocked and equipped kitchen. Everything worked. The surroundings looked a lot different in summer from the snow-covered winter picture. High desert. cool but dry. Very few trees. Saw some Jack rabbits.

Summary: Everything about this house was perfect for our family’s 3 night getaway. The location was the most pleasant surprise as we found it close enough to so many activities but far away from the bustle of Taos & SF. The home is comfortable and spacious and was a perfect size for our family of 5. Nice kitchen and dining area. The little things like the deck off the master bedroom and the sunroom just add to the experience.

Summary: Property was nice, except that the guest house had no heating and the small electric heater didn't warm up enough to use it, we had to stay only on the main house and have to use inflatable mattress to accommodate all of us, but other than that all was good.
