Abiquiu Lake Mesa Home is a spacious one-bedroom, one-bath fully furnished home, set on a mesa overlooking the glassy waters of Abiquiu Lake, the red cliffs of Ghost Ranch and surrounding mountains on all sides. Located in Georgia O'Keeffe territory, it is surrounded by red and purple rock formations, Abiquiu Lake, the Chama River, Carson National Forest and Cerro Pedernal. Every view from every direction is truly inspiring.
This spacious and comfortable home is an oasis for quiet stillness, rejuvenation, and creativity. The house has a wonderful indoor - outdoor floor with 2 oversized sliding glass doors and a large verandah. You will feel the power of the water, land, and skies in this seamless indoor/outdoor space. Star gazing, sunrise, and sunset are not to be missed!
Staying here is an amazing and unique "get-away" experience located on an 8-acre property with the lake and red rocks in front of you and the famous Pedernal Mountain standing guard behind you. You can't help but sense the vast scope and close centering of the land that inspired Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings. The Studios are located in a secondary building on an 8-acre property. The history and beauty of the land is powerful. Enjoy immersing yourself in your surroundings, taking in the night skies and fresh air, hiking from your door, visiting the lake and surrounding areas, and recharging your spirit.
Step into the home and you will know you have arrived someplace special. It offers a spacious and open living area that includes a fully equipped kitchen, a separate dining area with a four person dining table, and 2 bar-stools at the breakfast bar.
The cozy living room with a fireplace invites you to curl up and relax with a book or movie or watch from your comfortable couch.
The primary bedroom suite has an en-suite bath with double sinks, a walk-in shower and wonderful soaking tub with a window. Luxurious linens and quality amenities finish the package.
While we recommend "unplugging" as much as possible, you also have complementary unlimited WIFI and 2 SMART TV's.
The home features sliding glass doors from both the dining area and the primary bedroom that open up to a deck which spans the length of the house and overlooks the lake. The deck offers three different seating areas and amazing views of Lake Abiquiu and spectacular red rock landscapes. You can enjoy a seamless indoor/outdoor living experience.
The steps from the deck lead to the fire pit and the six-person hot tub.

Summary: This beautifully appointed home sits atop a mesa with views of Abiquiú Lake in one direction and famous and enchanting Cerro Pedernal in the opposite direction — all this under a magnificent New Mexican sky. The house was modern and cozy w/ high-beam ceiling. Every window had a spectacular view. We walked the mesa and enjoyed the stunning views and peacefulness. What a find!

Summary: I had the chance to stay at the Abiquiu Lake Mesa Home, and wow—it’s everything you could hope for and more. The views are incredible. You’re perched above Abiquiu Lake, with the famous red cliffs and Cerro Pedernal around you. It feels like you’re living in a postcard.The house itself is super welcoming. It’s got this classic Southwestern vibe with plenty of space to relax. The big windows everywhere mean you’re never far from those jaw-dropping views. My favorite spot was the patio—I’d sit there watching the sunrise or soak up the peaceful vibes in the evening under a sky full of stars. And the view from the hot tub will take your breath away.There’s so much to do if you’re feeling adventurous—hiking, fishing, kayaking—but honestly, it’s also the perfect place to unwind and take it all in. It’s quiet, peaceful, and feels like a true getaway from the hustle of daily life.If you’re looking for a place to recharge or just enjoy some time in nature, this home is amazing. I left feeling totally refreshed and already dreaming about going back!

Summary: We stayed at the Abiquiu Lake Mesa Home while attending a three day music festival at Ghost Ranch this month. The setting is as close to absolute zero sound as you will ever get, and the views, well, the picures don't do them justice. The house is well constructed and perfectly maintained, and the owner, Tani, a great communicator. Our stay went without a hitch, and without wishing for anything more. She accimodated our (well mannered) dog, which was essential. The walks out in the mesas were almost spiritual. It's a bit of a drive out there, on a maintained gravel road, and not super close to ghost ranch, but all in all I would not change a thng. The water pressure and tem and bath fixtures were great, after a day a Ghost Ranch. And zooming in to Abiquiu is easy and fast, for a meal or just a look. (Bosshards (amazing stuff, bring your wallet), Bode's (everything you could possibly need) and the Inn at Abiquiu (good food and setting). And it's about an hour from Santa Fe. Highly recommended.

Summary: We have stayed at this property several times as it is truly brings quiet and calm into your body and mind. The views of Abiquiu Lake, Ghost Ranch, and the Pedernal are truly spectacular. You don’t want to close your eyes for even a second. The house was, as always, very clean and the perfect home base. It has a well-stocked kitchen and super comfy bed. We will come back here any time we get the chance!

Summary: This is a wonderful house for two people to get away and experience the tranquility of almost perfect silence with amazing scenery from each window in every direction. We particularly enjoyed the nicely furnished deck, comfortable and with splendid views of Abiquiu Lake. We had our Golden Doodle with us which worked out fine. While we experienced some minor issues with the house, Tani was responsive in addressing those.

Summary: My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it is a place we will never forget as long as we live. The home is very nice. Everything was immaculate and clean and very comfortable. The views here left us speechless and mesmerized. Everywhere you turn is another beautiful sky. The mountains take your breath away. The lake is wonderful. Blue mountain birds fly around creating a pop of color. It almost seems unreal. I've never taken so many pictures. It was the most breathtaking, unforgettable Zen experience we have ever had and we can't wait to come back!
