Come experience life on Lake Keowee while staying in this beautifully rustic home. Located off the beaten path, The Hangout features a private dock, hot tub, kayaks, steps with handrail into the lake, excellent views and lots of space to relax and unwind. Upon entering the home, you’ll find gorgeous hardwood from the floor to ceiling. The kitchen, equipped with modern appliances and cookware, a Keurig, and a toaster, will be the perfect place to cook your favorite meals for you and your family. There is a granite-topped bar with seating for two situated right next to the dining room table, which can comfortably accommodate 6 people. Off the kitchen, you’ll find the first bedroom, which has a Queen size bed. The adjoining bathroom features a tub/shower combination. The second bedroom on the main floor is furnished with twin bunk beds and an adjoining bathroom of its own, equipped with a stand-up shower. There is also a half bath located on the main floor. The living room feels open and airy and boasts amazing views of the lake with its floor-to-ceiling windows. In the living room, you’ll find a TV, a fireplace, and a cabinet stocked with books, board games, and extra blankets to make entertaining fun, easy, and comfortable for all ages. Beyond the living room, there is a wrap-around deck with plenty of seating for you and your family to unwind and enjoy the fresh air. Just up the stairs, you’ll find the master loft suite furnished with a King size bed. The loft, which is open to the main floor of the home, faces the windows overlooking the lake so you won’t miss the stunning view of the water and mountains. The en suite bathroom is equipped with a stand-up shower, a roomy whirlpool tub, beautiful granite countertops, and His & Hers sinks. On the lower level, the home exudes warmth and comfort in a rustic atmosphere. In the finished basement, you’ll find a large leather sectional facing a mounted flat screen TV. The bar and mini-fridge is located just off the living area and has seating for two. The basement also has two more bedrooms, each with a Queen size bed, and another full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There are three separate entryways along one wall of the basement which open onto the back patio. Once outside, you’ll find ample seating for entertaining and relaxing. The patio features a fire pit where you can make s’mores, or just sit around and socialize with your group. On the far end of the patio, you’ll find a complete outdoor grill set-up, perfect for making a delicious meal for everyone to enjoy. The hot tub sits level with the deck and has an unobstructed view of Lake Keowee, while still providing privacy and comfort. The yard, which is open and grassy, is perfect for napping on the hammock, or for a game of Frisbee. The private dock is great for storing your boat, for fishing, or soaking up the sun. You can fish in the lake or go boating and enjoy the clean, blue lake water. This home is the perfect getaway for rest & relaxation and we can’t wait to host you!

Summary: Enjoyed family vacation at lake house. House is in a great location, middle of the lake in a quiet cove. Easy access from the house to the dock and the steps into the lake were a top priority for my family. Both were easy for the 77 year old and the 20 month old. House was clean, beds were comfortable. Kitchen was small but well stocked. House faces west so sunsets were magnificent. Wish there were some shade or curtains to block the sun in the afternoon and shade on the dock, but we managed to get away from the hot sun. Would definitely consider renting again. Thank you!

Summary: My family of five had a great stay at the "Hangout" on Lake Keowee. The two story windows with the view of the lake, were spectacular. The lake access was great and we used the paddle boards and kayaks and fished off of the property and the dock. The downstairs living space was really great, and we loved the decks and the hot tub. We rented a boat from Sunset Marina (7 min drive) and had a great time on the water, tubing and swimming. Lake Keowee is really beautiful. I left off a star because the decking needs some TLC. I did not let my children walk on it barefoot due to some warping and elevated screws. Also, the kitchen is a little tight. It was fine for us, but for a larger group, it would have been tight. But the property and the views were sooo great. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Summary: We stayed in this property for Easter weekend to see my two girls that are at Clemson . We were a group of 8 adults and had a fabulous time ! House is roomy with plenty of baths and was very clean . The backyard is a bonus with beautiful views . We were blessed with sunny warm weather for our visit which was wonderful ! Will definitely book again !

Summary: The view of the lake in the mornings and evenings from several different spots at this lovely home makes it one of the nicest locations we’ve stayed at in years. I loved the fact that the owners provide both kayaks and a paddle board to use in the lake, and the floating dock makes it a snap to launch both watercraft. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay at that terrific property longer - next time….
