Second Wind cottage is a real home away from often comment that staying here is like visiting friends.
Great care is taken by the owners to ensure the comfort of every guest. The cottage is perfect for a couple, or a couple with a small child.
It has an open, airy floor plan with lots of windows and two sliding glass doors leading to decks that overlook the canal, a very well-equipped kitchen, and many small touches that help make your stay more pleasurable. We pride ourselves on offering a clean, comfortable, and well maintained cottage.

With 13 miles of pristine beach, it's no wonder it's been voted in the top ten beaches year after year. It's not hard to fall in love with the easy going, laid back lifestyle.

Summary: Second Wind is a warm, welcoming cottage that seems to embrace you as soon as you walk in the door. It has a wonderful layout and so many special touches (the more you look the more of those touches you appreciate). It is a perfect reflection of the flavor and history of Ocracoke. Ocracoke itself is a hidden gem with beautiful beaches, a Village that is filled with unique and special treasures and a history that is captivating - there is more to explore here than you imagine.. Definitely hope to make this an annual trip. Thank you for sharing your wonderful cottage, Steph and Larry!

Summary: This sweet place was the perfect find for our long weekend away! It’s nicely tucked away from the busier streets and a good distance for us to get some good miles in on our bikes. However, the island is much longer on a bike than it seems in a car! Thx for the stay☺️
