The Original Marshmellow! Spacious Ocracoke beach house in the quiet Jackson Dunes neighborhood. Marsh views, large front deck, and two screened porches. House was one of the most popular rentals for over 25 years, now selectively rented through VRBO only. Reverse floor plan with large open space on the top floor. Stainless kitchen appliances, gas stove, and the best stocked kitchen you'll find. 65" TV in living room, with smart TVs in all bedrooms as well. Starlink satellite internet for fast, problem-free downloads, streaming, and browsing. Owner converted one bedroom into a well-equipped home gym, featuring plenty of weights, bands, bars, bells, and benches. House also features a 4-person golf cart, provided sheets and towels, Webber grill, Hatteras hammock, outdoor shower, bicycles, helmets, and spacious flat backyard. New driveway, walk-in shower, porch screens. Fish cleaning bench, rods, coolers, and chairs for your beach trips. Property is being conservatively and selectively rented for six people max, no smoking. Three day minimum. Keypad combination provided upon reservation. Thanks!

Summary: We had a wonderful time at this property in Ocracoke! The location was wonderfully quiet and peacful, offering the perfect getaway. We especially loved having access to a golf cart and bikes, which made exploring fun and easy. The property was spotlessly clean and the screened in back porch was a great spot to relax in the evenings. The beds were super comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after our day of adventure! I highly recommend The Marshmellow for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped retreat!

Summary: Absolutely perfect Ocracoke getaway! Views are fantastic from the living area and all of the porches. Everything you need is right there. The owner is a wonderful person and you can tell he takes care of the property like he lives there himself. Thank you again for the opportunity to stay with you and can’t wait to come back!

Summary: The house was as, if not better, than the listing. The house was immaculate yet very homey. All of the appliances and amenities were up to date and worked well. Everything I needed was stocked. The view from the decks were very nice. The availability of a golf cart was also a huge plus. The host was very nice and easy to contact. I must admit I messed up my move in date and called him to admit my error. He was so helpful and allowed me to check in a little early after the house had been cleaned. I will definitely book book this Marshmallow again next year!

Summary: My family and I enjoyed our stay at this house during our trip to Ocracoke. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and it was convenient to everything in the village. The screened in decks and porches allowed us to have dinner outside and enjoy the nice weather and the views of the island. I would highly recommend it and I look forward to staying there again when we return to Ocracoke.

Summary: Derek has a wonderful home on Ocracoke with many amenities. We were happy to be able to bring our dogs along with us, and the neighborhood was great for some peace and quiet as well as running. We loved sitting out in the screened in porch as well as soaking in the sun on the front deck. Having access to a golf cart was also a pleasant surprise that we enjoyed when we didn't want to necessarily take our car to a spot in town. All around we thoroughly enjoyed getting to stay here, Derek was responsive with messages, and we look forward to booking again!

Summary: The house fit our needs perfectly! (My husband, two 11 year old girls and my parents) The house was clean and nicely decorated. Tons of decks to enjoy the outside! Having a golf cart is an added bonus and the girls loved taking rides throughout the weekend. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need! We are looking forward to coming back here again, and would definitely recommend staying here to others.
