Summary: Cottage was nice and well equipped, but quite dark on the ground floor. It also doesn't have a great view as it's set at the back of the house and is overlooked by high hedges. The indoor pool was a highlight - the kids loved it. Unfortunately the outdoor pool was shut as we were off season, so there wasn't really any scope for the kids to meet other children and play - there was no real communal area to hang out in which was a shame. I imagine during the summer this would be very different. That said, South Devon was beautiful! And our hosts were very obliging. Thanks, Giuliaps I would ask in advance to have the BBQ cleaned as it was all rusted over so we couldn't have a BBQ.

Summary: Lovely clean and fresh property. Had everything we needed for our stay and more! Our 5 yr old particularly enjoyed all the boardgames. The listing doesn't do this property justice, so much is included. The welcome basket was a nice touch too. The pool was fab, clean and lovely and warm.

Summary: Mulberry Cottage was perfect for our needs. We were 2 adults and 2 dogs. The cottage was perfectly set up for all of our needs . Doggie bowls, blankets and towels are provided which is really lovely touch. The cottage is lovely and has everything you need, including games, books, tennis rackets, lawn games, beach items etc. The hosts were very communicative when we needed them and also called to introduce themselves which we thought was lovely. On the estate, The indoor pool is reserved for yourself and family in the register for whenever you want to swim, which is actually a really nice idea. We have rebooked to go back in September

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. The photos don’t do it justice. The property was lovely and clean on arrival. And welcoming. They have decorated it really well with lovely antique touches. The sofas were lovely and comfortable and blankets and towels for the dog were a great touch. The layout of the place was great as well. The grounds were beautiful for walking the dog. The pool was fabulous and was easy to book in with lots of slots available. And great parking.

Summary: Mulberry Cottage is one of the most delightful places that we have stayed in. Part of an old Victorian country house on a beautiful wooded estate, the cottage is obviously greatly loved by the owners, Ian and Jackqui. They have cretaed a home from home, with the most delightful antiques, knick-knacks and comfy home furnishings. Though quite compact, no space is wasted and it feels quite opulent! The kitchen is modern and beautifully presented and the bathroom has a very grand feel with its double sink. However, our favourite part of the cottage was the staircase, decked with some most unusual old antique pieces! A lot of thought was put into making our stay as comfortable as possible, from the amazing collection of games and sports equipment to the throws and blankets for our dog. There are some lovely walks on the estate and we made good use of the indoor swimming pool and the tennis court. Our two teenage children loved the place and were very appreciative of the two Easter Eggs that were left for them. Finally, thanks to Ian and Jackqui for changing our booking at such short notice. We don't usually return to places that we have already stayed at, but we may just make an exception for Mulberry Cottage!
