The cabin is complete with a 200 SF screen porch, 400 SF multi level deck, Hot tub by the river, stone fire pit, cathedral ceilings, 46'' high def flat screen TV, satellite, DVD player, beautiful wood floors throughout, gas grill on the screen porch, king size bed, queen size bed, custom made queen size futon, full kitchen w/stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops.... You can literally trout fish and swim off the back deck. You can sit on the screen porch and listen to the sound of a small mountain waterfall...The cabin is perfect for a peaceful mountain get-a-way or a resting place for recovering from mountain adventures. Victoria Valley Vineyards is located 1 mile away, Aunt Sue's restaurant is located 2 mile away. Additional nearby attractions include Numerous waterfalls,Table Rock state park is 3 miles, Cesar's Head state park is 7 miles. Summary: The cabin sits right on the Middle Saluda River. There was something quite mesmerizing about sitting in the dining area eating breakfast and watching the river flow through the heavily wooded area. The cabin is well laid out with two bedrooms. The bed in the master was comfortable with plenty of blankets. The kitchen was fully supplied with plenty of dishes and pots and pans. A coffeemaker is in the kitchen as well. We generally ate breakfast in the cabin and packed picnic lunches for trips into the mountains. The cabin is centrally located to the several state parks including Caesars Head, Table Rock, Jones Gap, Keowee-Toxaway and Devils Fork. You are also not very far away from the historic Hagood Mill which contains a building that covers ancient petroglyphs discovered in 2003. Very interesting presentation using side angle light to highlight the various carvings. An interesting thing about this area is that the piedmont meets the mountains very abruptly. Essentially there are no foothills. When you drive from the cabin to the over view at Caesars Head State Park you look down roughly 2000 feet to the piedmont plain below. It is pretty impressive. In addition to the great mountain views and hiking there are numerous waterfalls in the area. Raven Cliff Falls is some 420 feet high but does require a hike of an hour to get to it. On the other hand, the hike to 75 foot Twin Falls is about 3/10 of a mile and it is a gorgeous waterfall.

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay here. This spot is picturesque. We enjoyed Looking at the river while eating lunch from the dining table. The cabin was stocked with everything to assist with a good stay.. I was able to Instacart groceries from Publix.! The hot tub was great!!!!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay! The fire by the river was the best. House was very clean and comfortable! Location is very good, mountians, streams, vineyard and not to far from Greenville if you need more choices to eat out! We will return!

Summary: After maintenance problems on our plane caused us to cancel our flight reservation and jump in the car for a 14 hour drive, we arrived at Rx for Stress well after dark. John's directions were spot on, and we had no difficulty finding the house. We awoke the next morning to a view truly created by the Master Artist. Rx for Stress, indeed. The house was an excellent base camp for exploring the area. We recommend an annual pass for the South Carolina State Park system...well worth your money if you're staying for a few days with a family. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could possibly need for preparing a meal. We enjoyed coffee outside by the river each morning. Quiet neighborhood...never saw the neighbors. Sam was helpful and friendly when we needed the pilot light relit on the heater (my fault). Aunt Sue's has live bluegrass on Friday nights. When our travels bring us back to the area, we won't look for anywhere else to stay... we'll be coming back to Rx for Stress.
