5 Bedroom House in Cleveland

The Burgenest is a family mountain home located in the gated community of Cliff Ridge Colony at Caesar's Head. The House sits on a cliff overlooking the beautiful Jones Gap conservation area, with views of mountains in the near distance (no houses visible). Built to accommodate our large extended family, it is ideal for family gatherings and reunions, yet intimate enough for small groups. Hikers will enjoy easy access to the nearby Mountain Bridge nature trails, and bikers will enjoy the Caesar's Head mountain biking challenge.
The main floor (wheelchair accessible) is a great place for games, movies, reading, conversation or making music. This floor features 2 bedrooms (4 queen beds) and 2.5 baths. Features include an open living area with wood burning fireplace and smart tv with Direct tv access, an atrium featuring a grand piano and breath taking mountain views on three sides of the room. The dining area features seating for 12+. A spacious, well-equipped kitchen features stainless appliances including gas range, dishwasher, 3-door refrigerator, and counter top microwave, ample dinner ware, pots, pans, flat ware, etc.
Also on the main level is a lovely screen porch with lots of seating and open deck featuring a hot tub overlooking mountain vistas.
The second floor features 3 bedrooms(1 queen, 2 doubles, 4 singles-with 2 trundles, 1 crib), 2 baths, and a separate den with gas log fireplace and tv with Direct TV access. TV in singles room with Roku and DVD access.
There is a rec room in the basement, complete with ping pong and seating area.
A ten minute walk brings you to the community recreation area with 2 swimming pools (In season, one heated), private lake (canoeing and fishing), and 2 tennis courts. Dupont State Forest, with its three waterfalls, is a 15 minute drive, and Caesar's Head State Park is less than 5 minutes away (Wi-Fi Available here).
Several golf courses are in the area along with river activities, shopping, restaurants, and cultural events, including the famous Brevard Music Festival and the Flatrock Summer Playhouse. Approximate driving distances: Brevard (25 minutes), Hendersonville (45 minutes), Greenville, SC (45 minutes), and Asheville (1 hour).

Renters do not have access to the gated community or property prior to their reservation dates. Please do not try to enter the community prior to check in date as you will not be granted access and your reservation may then be revoked.
Any overflow parking needs to be at the clubhouse parking lot. Do not park on the street or block neighbor's driveways, as you are at risk for your vehicles to be towed and/or fined by the HOA. Any violations fines will be charged against your deposit ($50 per incident).

Summary: There were 11 of us for a week of family togetherness. Six adults and five children. There is plenty of beds and lots of space. The views are great. We smelled mildwed or mold in the basement when we arrived, but it was limited to that area. It soon was in the main area and I am very allergic to molds. Soon I was limited to avoiding the main living area and we taped trash bags over the stairway to the basement. It helped some. Turns out the HVAC was leaking into the carpet which had old mold or mildew already there. So it spread rapidly. The host had the HVAC leak repaired but didn't do anything about the carpet mildew/mold. She was "sorry for my inconvience". Puffing on an inhailer, spending time on a cpap with a hepa filter and nose bleeds from taking medicine that dries you nose and eyes up are not "inconviences". So the family didn't use the basement at all. It got bad enough the parents wouldn't let the children down there. So great location, views, and space. Wish I could have enjoyed them and had the children play in the basement.

Summary: This property is prettier than the pictures as the view extends across the living-dining-deck. Just amazing for visiting and viewing plus family gathering. The house is super accommodating with lots of space, bedrooms and bathrooms plus a well stocked kitchen. The neighborhood amenities and accessible location makes this a great option for family gatherings.

Summary: Phenomenon views. Listing was just as described. Everyone was comfortable and not on top of one another. Lots of memories made. HVAC didn’t work upstairs one first evening but notified Goldsmith Management and it was taken care of quickly. Would definitely return!

Summary: For the outdoors adventure seeking family/extended family this is your place to go! Lots of hiking close to the property, swimming in the neighborhood and shopping in Brevard. There is no better view from this property.

Summary: I Can't say enough good things about this home! It was perfect for our family.. We had 8 adults , 5 teenagers and 3 children. Not everyone stayed the entire week this, but the home was absolutely perfect. No need to bring any extra supplies, as the house is already supplied very well. (And plenty of extra blankets and pillows as well!) Plenty of room for everyone to gather, play games, relax, etc. The hot tub and ping pong table were the perfect bonuses and total hits!! The home is gorgeous and it immediately felt "warm" & "homey". And nothing beats the views!! So much to do ans see around there. Impossible to get "bored" unless you want to just chill. It really is the perfect home to get away to. We all absolutely loved it and plan to go back next year!!

Summary: 6 adults and 8 kids enjoyed valentines and Presidents’ Day weekend at this house. Lots of space for everyone, beautiful mountain views.. great screened porch and deck with hot tub. Close to parks for hiking and not too far from Brevard, Pretty Place, etc. House could use a good deep cleaning and some fresh linens throughout. Basement needs a TV. Would definitely stay there again.
