This private, waterfront property sits on popular Ponhook Lake, only 20 minutes outside Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
The cottage is south-west facing which makes for bright, sunny days on the large deck. There is an expansive beach for kids and pets to walk out into the water safely or put your kayak into the water so you can explore the massive lake. Floating docks offer easy access to deep water frontage. At night, enjoy s'mores lakeside by the fire pit.
The deck is outfitted with a sectional sofa and chairs, a propane fire-table and a BBQ. It's an idyllic spot to sip on your morning coffee as you take in the gorgeous lake view or relax with your glass of wine at night.
Inside the cottage, there are four cozy bedrooms and two bathrooms (one bathroom is an ensuite) so there's more than enough space for everyone in your group to stretch out and relax. The large kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need. Some other amenities you'll appreciate include a washer/dryer, wifi, and air conditioning.
We are located in the little community of Greenfield, Nova Scotia. A great spot to enjoy a scoop of ice cream, grab some extra groceries from the store, or stock up on some cold beverages.
There are lots of lake-side & wooded paths to explore in the area, so bring your four-wheeler or snowmobile!

Summary: Our stay was nice and peaceful. Cottage was nicely decorated and up to date. Having 2 bathrooms was nice but only 1 shower for a group of 6 was tricky. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were added bonuses.

Summary: The check in/out process was easy. The cottage was exactly as described and had everything we needed. The lake was fantastic and there was every manner of water toys and floaties for us to use. The bbq and fire table were nice features to use. It felt like home! The host was easy to contact. A perfect getaway!

Summary: Great place to stay with all the amenities you would hope for at a cottage and more. Very family friendly. Would highly recommend. Only unexpected downside was a fee to bring our dog that was not disclosed or requested until the day before our arrival. Will happily book again!

Summary: The cottage and property was perfect for our family. We spent everyday on the lake with our paddle board and utilized the kayaks on-site as well as having the ability to jump on our ATV’s and leave directly from the cottage and head out. It is an ATV friendly area with lots to see and explore. The cottage is clean and beautifully decorated and the AC was a bonus with the high humidity during our weeks stay. Lots of outdoor seating space and a family of ducks enjoyed the beach area with us! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy a secluded and quiet cottage surrounded by trees and an amazing view of the lake.

Summary: Stayed 5 nights as a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. So peaceful and the views were simply stunning. You can see the lakeviews from the bedroom which was lovely to wake up to. Fully stocked kitchen and activities! I used the kayak every day to paddle around and take in the surroundings. Comfy bedding and nice fully furnished but not cluttered, felt like I was right at home. A bit secluded which I was looking for, but 25 mins away there is a bigger town where you can stock up on everything. Awesome communication with the host. I would definitely stay again and recommend this booking!

Summary: Thanks for having us! Perfect for groups including families with young kids because of the beach entry to the lake. All of the watercraft and toys were very much appreciated. Would highly recommend and hope to return in summers to come.

Summary: The lovely cottage was perfect for our week long stay with areas to relax, read, enjoy a glass of wine and just hang out. The new dock made getting in and out of the water a breeze and we enjoyed the paddle boat and canoe (life jackets provided too) on site. The house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had just about anything you could need. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation for a group we recommend this place for sure!

Summary: Our family (8 of us all together) had the best week enjoying this cottage, deck, dock, lake and water toys! Pam was a great host with a beautiful property. The cottage was clean, tastefully decorated, organized and so welcoming. We spent hours each day enjoying the new dock, with great swimming access right off it! The kayaks, peddle boat, canoe and firepit were all an added bonus ensuring none of us were ever bored! We all hope to be back!

Summary: We absolutely loved this property! We stayed 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The inside of the cottage is immaculate. The interior has been newly renovated and looks amazing! It has a cozy, country feel throughout. Each of the four bedrooms has super comfy beds and the area is quiet and tranquil, ensuring a good night's sleep. The large kitchen is outfitted with modern appliances and the open concept living area overlooks the lake with spectacular views. Every night we had a bonfire and every day we made use of the canoe and kayaks all of which are provided, including ample wood for the fire and PFD's for the boats. The outdoor seating area is where we spent a great deal of time, relaxing in front of the propane fire table. Even though it was late October, we were still able to go for a swim in the lake! The property is very private and there is a lot of space between the adjacent properties. The WiFi is excellent and the TV has every channel available as well as Apple TV. The owner, Pam, is fantastic to deal with. All of our questions were answered immediately. We honestly can't say enough positive things about this property and how much we enjoyed our stay!
