Baneuil House | Beautiful split level boutique Gite

2 Bedroom House in Baneuil

Spacious split level accommodation with an open plan kitchen/ dinning room. When we renovated it, we wanted to preserve as many original features as possible while creating cosy, homey and modern space. We understand that our guests like the country feel but at the same time they don't want to compromise on the familiar comforts and convenient solutions.
We filled up the kitchen with all you may need during your stay. We picked the furniture with comfort in mind. You won't need your towels and the bed linen will make you want to stay in bed for the whole day. If you insist on ruining your holiday by washing, cleaning and ironing we provide all the necessary equipment. You can stay in touch with the world thanks to a good wifi connection and French TV. Both bedrooms are upstairs and the living/dinning area is downstairs.
There is an outdoor seating area designated only for your use. Please note this Gîte is for two adults only we do not accept guests below the age of 18.
If relaxing and watching the sunsets with a glass of wine it's not your thing there is plenty to do around us: canoeing, hot air ballooning, sightseeing, wine tasting, night Markets in the Summer, Vineyard visits, the list is endless!! Several Villages around us are classed among the most beautiful villages in France. Such as Belves ;Monpazier ;Limeuil or even Cadouin which boast an Abby listed as a UNESCO heritage site.
We are conveniently located 25 min from the airport and Bergerac's Medieval Centre. Should you like to visit the very pretty town of Sarlat we are just under an hour along the Route de Frois Gras. We encourage stopping on the way to explore beautiful villages of Baynac, La Roque or Domme.
Gites, sunbathing, swimming, relaxing... I'm bored now where can I go what's here to see?
You could quite easily spend the holiday sampling the local cuisine following the duck and the wine route or the colorful markets. There is plenty to choose from but if you are like us, having itchy feet on what was supposed to be a lazy holiday, then I have a great news - we are in the perfect spot to see and experience this beautiful region.
Let's see the spectacular grottoes, visit a châteaux this area is famous for, living history theme park, what about a Gothic cathedral or those 17th century gardens near Limeuil.
See the Dordogne from the river while kayaking, canoeing, gorge walking or on the boat trip. What about a view from the hot air balloon or if you are not a big fun of the heights, from the horseback.
For those more active take the rucksack, pack your lunch and discover the picturesque villages on foot or on the bike. Climb the rocks or take part in high ropes course at the stunning Chateau du Val with a zip wire over the lake.
And in the evening if you still have some energy left you must go dancing at the local music festival in the village down the road.

What Our Guests say 500 + Reviews

Jul 31, 2024 07:41:05 PM
Summary: Dan and Iwona are lovely hosts who made us feel welcome straightaway, giving advice about what to see/do but also very discreet. We very much appreciated the little presents (wine, baguette, homemade jam, ...) waiting for us in the kitchen of our well-equipped house. Beautiful gardens with a refreshing pool we shared with the guests from the other gite. There are lots of things to do in this area: visiting castles, markets, gardens, bike tours etc. We recommend the place whole-heartedly and would like to thank our hosts for creating this peaceful place.

Summary: We had a very relaxed stay at Peace in France. The property was well placed and we enjoyed heading to the nearby towns for sight seeing and the restaurants. The owners were in hand for any questions we had or for assistance. The gite was immaculate and had everything we needed for our two week stay. The pool area was spotless and the gardens and grounds were well maintained and looked beautiful. We spent more time in the gite and by the pool than we have in previous visits to France and managed to relax with just the sound of birds and crickets. I would highly recommend Peace in France.

Summary: The large apartment in the small cottage in Périgord is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing holiday. Furniture, equipment and bathroom are very stylish and match the extraordinary ensemble. In addition, there is a magnificent pool and a fantastic garden with a wide view over the countryside. Dan and Iwona welcomed us very friendly and are attentive hosts who take care of everything in an excellent way. Both are always there when questions arised in rare cases. With them you can laugh, have a good time and spend a very, very pleasant holiday. Just great!

Summary: We stayed in the two bedroom gîte for a week in late August and are still charmed and amazed by the time we spent in this brand new gîte and with our hosts Iwona and Dan - without forgetting Bum Bum, Bob, and George. By the way, our daughter (17 months) still asks us, where Bum Bum ("Toutou") is. The place is great, the gîte brand new and arranged with love for the details. The pool is just in front of the gîte's door and there is a beautiful space to have lunch and dinner outside. The location is also perfect in the Périgord Pourpre: within a max 30 minutes drive from the gîte you can visit Bergerac, the Château Monbazillac, the Dordogne loops near Trémolat (Cingle de Trémolat), the Panoramic Garden in Limeuil, Monpazier, and many more. I was skeptical about the possibility of really getting into holiday mode within just one week, but the switch was instantaneous with Dan and Iwona's warm welcome and the calm and wonderful context! The place is the perfect location for a completely relaxing and easygoing holiday by the pool with visits to Lalinde or a more active holiday with cycling along the Lalinde canal and the many possible sites and villages around. Thanks to Dan and Iwona for their availability and for making our week at their gîte a wonderful time!
