Summary: The old garage is the perfect Cotswolds stay location, we arrived on Friday afternoon and it was easy to find using what 3 words location. The check in was perfect. We had collected food shopping from chipping norton which was only 7 minutes drive away, all the amenities were great there was everything we needed to make dinner and have an evening in the hot tub. Really helpful that things like towels, toiletries, coffee pods, dishwasher pods, kitchen roll etc were provided. We also did use the iron provided. The only thing we had to pop out to restock was toilet roll. The house was so much bigger than we expected on the pictures and 2 parking spaces was perfect for us. We used the tv to play music, however the listing did say there was a Bluetooth speaker but we couldn’t locate this. The only downside to that was that we couldn’t have music in the kitchen but you could just bring your own! We went into Oxford city centre on Saturday and the S3 bus that runs from the bottom of the main road is a fantastic connection making it so easy to get in and out. There is a lovely local pub too round the corner. Great location to also pop into Woodstock for coffee and to Diddly Squat farm. Cannot recommend this enough, we asked for late check out which was able to be accommodated and so we spent a few extra hours in the hot tub, it really was perfect. Thanks so much for having us!

Summary: The Old Garage was superb. The decor and the homely feel it had really gave it value. The hot tub was an awesome addition to the place giving you yet another level of value. The hosts (StayCotswold) were really good with communication throughout the course of my booking and all the way up to the stay itself. Plenty of information to go off to make your trip even better too. The Christmas tree and decorations gave a nice festive feel to the place as a little bonus. My only idea for improvement would be to invest in some sort of rubber mat for around the hot tub as it was very muddy there. Either that or some bark/wood chip or something to help keep the ground more dry. Amazing all round though with providing extra towels for the hot tub on top of all the linen you’d need for a stay. Great place to stay and do not hesitate!!

Summary: Our stay here was decent, we've holidayed in the Cotswolds for some years now and have stayed in some excellent properties. Although The Old Garage was fine we felt that there was some small way to go before it compared with the usual standard we'd come to expect. Simple things really in that although this property may have only been on the holiday rental market a short while some major finishing touches should have been made prior to launch. In the bathroom there are numerous areas showing distinct lack or requiring to be finished, holes in the skirtings, capped copper pipes exposed, lack of grout on tiles. The garden with the hot tub (good acquisition) requires firmer area, garden very squidgy, with lack of defined footpath to tub. It'll be bad in winter wet weather! No clear intersections on how to operate tub. Lots of do's and don's but how to switch on/stop it. Nice kitchen but we had issues with very fragile wine glasses and noticed one in the trash area, cost is an issue but so is client safety. Just avoided a cut hand drying after use. Once sorted this could be a very nice property which might then justify the charges

Summary: Overall our stay at The Old Garage was lovely. The property had everything we needed, was comfortable, homely and stylish. The extra facilities for our 9 month old (high chair, travel cot, stair gate) were a huge help. However the property was described as ‘finished to a high standard’ but we didn’t feel that this was the case. Paving slabs were lose/wobbly outside, the front door required a lot of force to open & close, the basin taps and bath spout were lose. One of the wheelie bin lids was missing. The base sheets didn’t fit the depth of the mattress so would ping off through the night. I appreciate all of these things are minor and didn’t impact our stay greatly, we just felt the description wasn’t accurate and therefore not quite worth the money we paid for the stay. The most frustrating thing was when the hot tub maintenance came. We were pre-warned that someone would attend to top up the chemicals etc but were not told that the tub would be drained down during our stay! Coincidently we were in our swimming costumes about to go in when the gentleman arrived. He was very cooperative and despite not being able to get hold of the owner, he kindly offered not to drain it down so that we could enjoy it for the rest of our stay. He was very apologetic that we had not been informed which we appreciated.

Summary: We were very impressed with how clean and well presented the house was when we arrived. Even the hot tub was set to a nice temperature. The house has everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable from board games to blankets on the sofas. Unfortunately, the only thing we couldn’t find in the cupboards was a corkscrew for our wine. The garden is fully secure which was great for our small dog as we didn’t have to keep an eye on him. There are plenty of walks and dog friendly places nearby. I would give a warning about the driveway to other families because our car did get stuck in the gravel for about 2-3 hours. Luckily we were able to dig it out and parked on the road after that. But overall we had a great time and would visit again.

Summary: The family had a lovely relaxing time at the Old Garage. The weather reached a record breaking 40 degrees centigrade during our stay and we contemplated using the hot tub to cool off! Everything was clean and stylish inside, we loved the bi-fold doors which made the place lovely and airy. We didn't have any direct contact with the owner, we didn't need to discuss anything - the pre-arrival info was comprehensive, concise and accurate. An excellent experience.

Summary: Sadly we could only stay for 2 nights of our planned 4 night break due to a family issue. Such a shame given the Old Garage is such an easy, comfortable place to be. We felt at home very quickly and easily. Everything is there, the owners have thought of everything. Hopefully one day we can return. Our dog also loved it and was very happy in the very secure garden area.
