Positive: It was a very clean and comfortable apartment with all the needed amenities. It is outside the city center , so was very quiet and peaceful. Great view of the lake and mountains. Gorgeous, picturesque property.

Negative: Nothing! There are quite a few stairs leading to the apartment.

Positive: Without a doubt, the highlight of our stay was our host, Roberto, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a truly comfortable and relaxing holiday and was delightful to converse with. Despite a two-hour train delay, he was kind enough to meet us at the station in Varenna and generously drove us into and out of town whenever we needed. Service like this is rare these days and deeply appreciated. As many others have noted, the view of Lake Como from the property is simply stunning. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the gardens are beautifully maintained and a pleasure to spend time in. The location is about a 25-minute walk from Varenna, with a short but steep uphill climb to reach the apartment. However we enjoyed the walk, as we like to stay active. There is a lovely family run restaurant a couple of doors down the road worth visiting for a delicious meal and another restaurant a few minutes away. Overall, this was a fantastic experience on Lake Como, and we’ll definitely try to return!

Positive: The view from the large balcony of Lake Como was spectacular. The 3rd floor full apartment included a kitchen, living room with dining table, two bedrooms an over sized bathroom with a washing machine. Free parking was available just a short walk away. Host Roberto was very helpful. He picked up two of our group at the train station and carried all of our suitcases up and down the steps.

Negative: The downhill walk into Varenna was a bit of a hike. 30 to 45 minutes. Coming back was uphill. There was also 55 steps on the property to the top floor. But, that's why you have the amazing view of the lake.

Summary: Great place to stay near Varenna and Lake Como.

Positive: The location was great! We wanted to be away from the main tourist hub, and this was perfect! It was a nice walk to & from Varenna. And there are 2 local restaurants very close. Also, the layout was very spacious and clean, and the view was spectacular! Roberto was very friendly & accommodating. Highly recommend this place!

Positive: The owner, Roberto, was awesome. He met us at the train station in Varenna and drove us to the apartment that was about 4 km south of Varenna (town called Fiumelatte). When we asked about the nearest grocery store, he offered to take us since the only decent store was in Bellano which is north of Varenna. The apartment was very comfortable and well appointed. The view from the terrace was very spectacular. Roberto also dropped us off at the train station when we were leaving.

Negative: There was not much that we didn't like but those that want to stay here should be aware that the apartment is a bit remote from restaurants and other facilities. This did not bother us as we are relatively mobile and didn't mind the walk to Varenna where most of the tourist activities are located.
