Summary: We had a wonderful stay on the Sacandaga thanks to a great host and a property that perfectly suited our needs. Everything was exactly as described and John was an attentive host. Plenty of space for our family of 6 to spread out and various common areas to come together. The home was immaculate and every detail thought of. We also appreciated that we were in a hamlet that offered shop and eateries. We would certainly stay again!

Summary: John, the hhost, has thought of everything. From the hotel quality sheets and towels to the complimentary wine upon arrival, John has gone out of his way to make his family home a warm and welcoming place for families to enjoy their time together. And, the lake is absolutely stunning and the perfect place for visitors of all ages to enjoy themselves swimming, kayaking, or boating. The town, too, is a quaint New York village that offers everything from boutiques to find eateries.

Summary: From the minute I hit reserve (back in March) until we drive out of the driveway of our vacation week this morning, John and his property exceeded every expectation. If you are looking for a place to enjoy nature, rejuvenate and spend some wholesome time as a family…..this is your SPOT! Spend time on the deck or on the dock or walk around the quintessential town of Northfield to the 5 and Dime or boutiques shops, you won’t be disappointed. The house is great, offering a great kitchen set up for preparing meals, plenty of space for comfortable relaxing and conversation and great sleeping spaces making for a comfortable night sleep. This truly is a home away from home. Thanks so much John!
