This manor is part of a big family property of approx. 300 hectares with oak tree woods, sunflower fields and gently rolling hills. It lies 16 km southern of Todi, 70 kms from Perugia (airport), 110 kms northern of Rome and 4 kms from village. It's a very quiet location and ensures 100% privacy seen there aren't other buildings nearby. The whole property is for your private/exclusive use (not shared with other holidaymakers or owner). The manor has over 100 years of history within its walls, the 420 square metre manor has been carefully restored in an elegant and tasteful way. On the property there are the main building (7 bedrooms, living/dining rooms, semi-professional kitchen, 80 square meter porch to eat outdoor), the tower (2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining/living room), a 13 by 5 meter pool, barbecue and stone near the pool area, hall for events at 20 meters from the pool. Renovated with antique furniture created by the craftsmen of Todi, it big stone walls of around 80cm ensures that the rooms are never to warm (we just advice to not hold open the windows during the day, there are fans available). The big porch of the main building is equipped with tables and chairs to eat outdoor for 25 persons. The large living room has 16 sofa seats and the dining area has two oval tables (each for 12 persons). On request it is possible to have cook and maid service. The property is suitable for up to 25 adults + babies. There are 19 bed places (9 bedrooms) and 6 sofa beds places (2 double and 2 single). Two baby cots and highchairs also available. The main building and the tower have both a bedroom/bathroom suitable for wheelchair users. The pool is 13 by 5 meter + roman stairs, the depth goe from 1,20 to 1,80 meter. Restaurant/Pizzeria and supermarket 1 km far away, there are more supermarkets, shops and restaurant at 5 kms. Big supermarkets (also open on Sunday) are available at 20 kms in the city of Terni. It's possible to purchase directly from the owner olive oil and wine. Weekly open market on Monday (in the centre of the village of Montecastrilli). The speedway exit is 12 kms far away. 3 km away it is possible to visit an extremely rare example of fossil forest.

Summary: As others have said, even more lovely than photos. We were 8 couples aged 23-77 for a week with room for more. A real advantage is the en suite bathroom situation, albeit some bathrooms and showers roomier than others. Highlight is outdoor dining patio where we took all meals given the mild September weather. Chef cooked two yummy dinners for us. Also glad we ordered villa owner’s olive oil and red wine. Short drive to major Umbrian sights. However, we recommend you go for lunch in nearby Sangemini for better Italian restaurants and atmosphere. Be sure you’ve well understood directions to villa since GPS misguided couple of us.

Summary: We held our wedding at Il poggio and it was beyond perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a better host or a better location. Everything exceeded our expectations and Guido and Orietta made the experience much better! Communication was easy and check in and out was smooth!

Summary: We were family of 23 people. Young and “old” was loving the beautiful and quiet place. With the best view. Everything was perfect. Guido always answer quick. The people we met, that helped to make the Place perfectly comfortable was all so nice. Orietta made us dinner 3 times. It was like heaven. Even all the kids loved her cocking. We bought wine from the place, because it was so good and so cheap😉 Can very much recommend this place to everybody who wants a good, beautiful and quiet vacation, in the best surroundings🇮🇹🍷

Summary: I stayed here with 9 friends in October 2022. Like previous reviews stated, the photos online do not do this house justice. The house was big enough so no one felt cramped. The pool was refreshing, the olive trees and garden herbs made wonderful centerpieces. Orieta is THE gem of this place! I hired her to cook 5 meals for us and was blown away by how good the food was, how much food there was and such a low cost, it's the best deal. After a day of sightseeing, you come home, have a glass of wine, enjoy the sunset and voila dinner is on the table. No need to go shopping or think about what to make. Orieta and her assistant clean up as well, this truly made the trip that much better. I can't recommend this house enough. Guido is always super fast with his response and helped me arrange a car service to a winery and to the airport among other things. The house is not near any particular big town, Terni is about 15 mins away, Todi is 45 mins, Assisi, Deruta and Orvieto are all about an hour, so rent a car and enjoy the beautiful Umbrian countryside! Book now, you won't be disappointed :)

Summary: Over the last 40 years or more we have travelled to Italy to see family and more often or not we would book a villa for 10 to 20+ people, this year after been cancelled for two years, 21 one of us had our holiday, what a wonderful restful week, made so much better by a great villa and pool, every bedroom was big enough, each had its own bathroom, the eating area outside was wonderful for our evening suppers, we got the staff to cook a meal on 3 different nights, one was a 4 course, one was two courses and the 3rd was home made pizza made in there own outside oven, the whole week was great for everyone from age 1 to 81, the pool was very clean and cleaned everyday, i would recommend this villa for ant big groups to enjoy jim
