Positive: The location was great, Tobias and Dendi were wonderful hosts that were very open to accommodating our needs. The room was nice, spacious, and clean. The shelves and desk to organize our things were much appreciated. The hotel is happy to help you arrange activities in the area. The lodge also has a great restaurant with homemade food and beautiful views. On the last day we had Dendi’s traditional meal which you have to order a day in advance. It is a MUST!! Food was delicious. The hotel’s driver, Daus, was very nice driving us around, always open to stopping for photos. Car was nice, with AC and spacious. Apart from visiting Kelimutu (drive up, walk back through the villages!!), we enjoyed the Murukeba waterfall that is close by (best to get a ride to the trailhead though), the coffee plantation and the traditional Wologai village (which we thought would be fake and touristy, but was surprisingly interesting and we felt we learned more about traditional Indonesian-Lio culture).
Summary: A wonderful place to stay in Moni while you visit Kelimutu! A home away from home :)

Positive: Tobias is nice and helpful. He suggested great places to visit around the area. The food is really delicious, even though the portions are a bit small. It was nice that here are hot showers and the room size was good. Thank you
Negative: The humidity in the rooms, but this is due to the area I guess. The breakfast portion is quiet small. Wifi only in the restaurant area.

Positive: This is a well located family run guest house which has a super friendly atmosphere due to Tobias and his family. We’d booked a small double and a bigger room and both did the job - simply furnished and both had a balcony area and lovely views over the valley. The small rooms come with cold water only which Tobias double checked we were OK with when we booked so no surprises and cold was actually fine for a decent shower. The food in the restroom is simple but freshly cooked and hot! Tobias and his family were super helpful with taking our bags up to our rooms and also helping me with sorting WiFi so I could join an unavoidable work video call late at night. It does get full - there was a touring motorcycle club from Jakarta staying the same night as us - and the inevitable cockerels start off early - so earplugs are handy if you are a light sleeper. Thanks Tobias for making us feel so welcome!
Negative: Nothing really - it is what it is a simple family guest house which is made special by the warmth of the host family.

Negative: Nothing in particular, although it would have been good to have some help in bringing my luggage down three flights of stairs in the morning.

Positive: Fantastic place. Quiet, clean and very spacious with wonderful views. The rooms are modern and very clean. Hot shower in the bathroom. Bathroom is big, spacious and clean. Tasty breakfasts. Tobias and his family can help organise your trips and also get transport onwards. Super super happy about my stay.

Positive: This was my base for my early morning visit to Mount Kelimutu. It was sufficient for 1 night stay. There were places to eat within walking distance. It was a basic room and sufficient for my needs of just a night' sleep. Breakfast was provided. The staff were friendly and helpful.
