Summary: My family and I thought the home was charming and in a great location; however, the air conditioning didn’t seem to cool the house enough for my family and I to be comfortable, especially in the evening when trying to wind down. Also, the hot water in the showers seemed to not get hot or even warm.

Summary: The Blue Rose home was well-decorated and full of amenities. The clawfoot tub in the master bathroom was such a treat! Our ONLY complaint is that It was a hot weekend and the A/C was not working. We easily communicated with the host to figure out what the problem could be. After being hot for too long and the troubleshooting not working, the host offered to send out maintenance but said it would take appx. 2 hours for them to get there--it was already close to 9pm so we declined the offer. We appreciated the attentiveness and effort to remedy the problem. Like I said, the home was lovely and in a great location. We will stay again if we can be assured that the A/C works consistently.

Summary: Location is wonderful and walking distance to the cute downtown area of Hartwell. We enjoyed a few restaurants there. The AC unit is very old and cannot keep up with the 100-year-old home. It never felt cool in the home when walking in from the heat outside. The second night, we had to sleep with 2 box fans and an oscillating fan pointed toward the bed to get any relief. It was 78 degrees in the home. I messaged the owner, and they know that the unit is old and have plans to replace it. I would not stay here again during the summer until the AC is replaced.
