Summary: This is a quiet neighborhood in March. Might be much busier at high season. The directions to the house were spot on. The garden area is private and fully fenced which was excellent for my pups. The sand is right outside the back gate and you can hear the roar of the sea sitting in the garden area. I am 75 with knees that are in decline. The sand dunes were a challenge for me. A map of the trails would be nice. My few days were rainy and cold, but it was cosy and warm inside. Some reviews mentioned problems with the wall heaters. I did not have issues with them. The pictures of the house are accurate.

Summary: My family and I loved the eclectic seaside cabin decor and atmosphere. The house was cozy and quiet. The short walk to Salmon Creek beach and the dunes was very nice. Host was prompt with communication and answered any questions I had. We will definitely make this our go to when we visit Bodega Bay!

Summary: My friends and I loved this beach house for our short getaway, and we hope to come back next year! The house description is spot on. You can’t beat to short walk to the beach, at least that’s what my friends said, as I stayed in the house with my broken ankle. The house is quite decent for crutches and a knee scooter as there are no stairs. A couple things to keep in mind if looking to stay here…if you’re over 6’2” ish be prepared to duck and if you’re using the twin beds, they may not have a top sheet (at least we didn’t have them for our stay). My favorite part was having a cozy fire each night! The owner was amazingly quick to respond to my questions. Overall, quite delightful!

Summary: Very charming cottage— our dog loved the yard. I think it would be a great place for a family with young kids— the 2nd bedroom was adorable!My husband and I never actually walked to the beach from the house. There were large sand dunes to cross, plus construction going on. But it was an easy drive to numerous other nice beaches.

Summary: This home was just what i needed. So quiet, you could hear the roar of the ocean. So out of the way, you can see a sky full of stars. Yet a 5 minute walk to the ocean. Miles of beach. Miles of dunes then only 5 minute drive to Bodega bay trail cove. Another amazing ocean experience. And Bodega Head, a casual hike for amazing views of the ocean, Bodega bay and our bea California hill scape. The home is lovely. Comfortable, cozy and clean! Private with everything you may need. A breath of fresh air. And... a wonderful conscience, attentive host!I will be back!

Summary: Great first impression upon arrival, all set up like a welcoming home ready for guests. Kids loved the stuffed doggies in their room, location in the neighborhood walking out the back gate onto the sand was magical, and grew to appreciate many other little charms of what's not the newest beach house, but plenty comfortable!

Summary: The place is old but generally comfortable. Easy walking down to the beach and access to Bodega Dunes park. The problem we had was the heating system. In the winter B Bay can get pretty cold, low 40's, and the electric heat took a long time to make it comfortable. Bring sweaters and light jackets. If it rains the road leading to it can have big puddles and mud. If you can, get the owner to turn the heat on before you arrive.

Summary: Took my pups for the weekend to see the coast. This property was just what I was looking for. More than pet friendly, my dogs were in heaven exploring the gigantic fenced in yard, walking the trails behind the back gate, and sleeping so comfy they snored. The house was so comfortable, welcoming, cozy, clean, completely self-contained, with beautiful window views and plenty to do inside though it rained outside all weekend. I slept to the sound of the ocean and slept so peacefully. Property contact was wonderful to work with and so helpful. I cannot wait to go back again and enjoy this peaceful place, especially the wonderful yard and wind chimes. Thank you! Dawn, Harry, and LillyButt

Summary: The property is clean but could use some TLC. The house was comfortable. The comments on the views of ocean and short path to the beach did not prove to be true. Yes, you could have good views and a path if you hiked over the dunes to get to the ocean, not easy done by someone who’s just had a total knee only disappointment to the weekend.

Summary: Property is clean and adorable. Water delivery service, mud room and fenced yard is definitely a plus. Short walk out back door to Salmon beach (awesome beach but not pet friendly)Centrally located, just a short drive in either direction to nature walks, beaches and stores. Will definitely be planning another stay at this property.
