Casa Del Sol Family Beach House is a totally updated Spanish style home with all the amenities. Located directly on the Caribbean Sea, this private, single-family, gated home has a large in-ground swimming pool that overlooks the sea. The outdoor cabana dining and bar area is perfect for hours of daytime entertainment and evening dining al fresco with the relaxing sound of lapping waves a few feet away! Our renovation includes a complete pool redesign with "sun shelf" for wading and splashing and LED pool light. In the kitchen, we installed new granite, tile, smooth top stove, and stainless refrigerator. Upgrades also include new furniture, beds, linens, lighting, and kitchen supplies. We feature a 60" flat screen, high-def FUBO TV (HGTV, Fox News, ESPN, Disney Jr., NFL Network, Food Network, etc.) available in living room and all 3 bedrooms. Also Netflix, and newly added DISNEY + CHANNEL! Added October 2023 500mb high-speed wireless internet. We also recently added a stainless steel 500 gallon fresh water cistern on the roof with pump and pressure tank for enhanced water pressure inside the house as well as backup for when the city water is down (island utilities can be unpredictable).
The expansive covered veranda hosts a variety of seating areas and another dining option for 6. French windows open at the kitchen sink to allow a beautiful view of the pool and beach.
For those wanting to enjoy the beautiful sea breeze, 2 sets of french doors open to the covered veranda. This home is located in an authentic Puerto Rican neighborhood and is off the beaten path of tourism. Immerse yourself in this Latin-Caribbean town of Patillas where you can sometimes see the local fisherman right from your backyard. Casa Del Sol Family Beach House is for those who truly want to get away from it all. You might only see a handful of people on the beach and those are likely local Puerto Ricans out for a family stroll or perhaps the Department of Natural Resources inspector daily inspection and marking of the numerous turtle nests that line our beach. Hawksbill and Leatherback turtles can grow up to 1500 lbs! The ice cream man still drives by often with his whimsical music blaring. Flag him down for a cool treat on a warm day, then go jump back in the pool and float end to end looking up at the dozens of soaring coconut palms surrounding you overhead. Fire up the gas grill poolside and grill steaks or burgers and then linger over a long dinner seaside AND poolside with the relaxing sound of the Caribbean waves mere feet away. At night, you won't believe the thousands of stars in the dark, southern Caribbean sky (we see a falling star or two often). You will also surely relish the sweet sound of the tiny coqui frog as it sings the magical "ko kee" signature call all evening. Guests that stayed at Casa Del Sol Family Beach House recently, witnessed the magical journey of dozens of sea turtles making their way to the sea (some had to be rescued by the guests out of our pool), a truly memorable experience!! Many new restaurants have opened since hurricane Maria in our area featuring Puerto Rican "Criollo" cuisine, and fresh seafood.

Summary: I stayed at Carla's house with my wife and two kids for a week. We had a fantastic time at the property: swimming in the pool, walking on the beach, and snorkeling in the reef offshore. Irene, the property manager, is very friendly and accessible and is nearby for any needed assistance. The house is very clean and tidy, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended to anyone considering getting away!

Summary: Casa Del Sol was the ideal spring break vacation rental for our family (two adults, four kids between the ages of 2 and 10). Our kids never got sick of swimming in the beautiful pool, which was large enough for all of us to enjoy at the same time. To have the sound, smell, and view of the ocean so close by was incredibly special. The house itself is thoughtfully outfitted with everything that we needed, and then some. Carla and Irene were incredibly responsive and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to rent this place again.

Summary: Our stay here was absolute perfection. We are a family of 5 with kids ages 7, 7, and 10. Being on the beach with a pool was perfect! You cannot beat the outdoor space - The fenced in yard gave us peace of mind with the kids and the outdoor bathroom was amazing to have! We ate all meals outside daily. The house was great! Three bedrooms each with their own AC control was amazing to have. Beds were comfortable and there were so many bird games for the kids to play when the rain showers came through! We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen with everything we could ever need! A special touch that meant a lot was having ice cream delivered by the host! Communication with them was seamless before and during our travels! As mentioned in the description, it is in a local area - very little tourists which was perfect for us and what we wanted - the only down side to keep in mind is that the travel time to San Juan or the Rainforest is about a 1-1.5 hour drive each way so just plan accordingly! You defiantly need a rental car to stay here. The roads are very curvy and somewhat narrow around the home but once we got used to it driving was totally fine. The hosts also provided a recommendation for a local massage therapist who came to the home to give us a massage! It was perfection, Silvia was amazing! I highly recommend staying here while in Puerto Rico you will not be disappointed if rest and relaxation with still some adventure is your goal!

Summary: We had a lovely stay at Casa Del Sol. Soon after booking, Carla (the owner) got in touch to make sure we knew what to expect from the house and the location. It’s off the beaten path but it was lovely and very relaxing! The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It was stocked with essentials- especially coffee!!!The pool was huge, clean and was the best part of the house! Carla also helped us find a massage therapist who came to the house. It was a treat to have a massage outside listening to the waves crash!We cannot wait to go back!

Summary: We spent a wonderful week enjoying the house, especially the pool and terrace. The pool and grounds are beautifully maintained. There were plenty of towels, games, toys, and DVDs. Irene was especially helpful in getting us settled into the house.

Summary: This home and property are incredible. Extremely clean and well maintained and stocked with everything you’ll need for your stay. Pickup some food from the grocery store on the way and you’re all set. Internet worked well and the home has lots of tech and games incase it rains. The pool and its sun deck are refreshing and beautiful to look at. Regular flybys from the local pelicans were always entertaining. We will definitely be staying here again!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful house right on the ocean! From the fully stocked kitchen(including spices/oils etc) to the comfortable beds and super fast cooling AC units, this house did not disappoint! We started each day drinking coffee watching the waves in the backyard and then enjoyed the pool and local beaches. Villa Pesquera Beach is a calm area where we enjoyed meeting the locals and learned how to enjoy a coconut using a machete! I recommend coming back on a Fri-Sun evening to see the bustling nightlife with local karaoke! If you have 4 wheel drive, Google Emajaguas Beach House to find a beautiful, nearly deserted, sandy beach area where a manatee may swim by. There are other nice beaches as well! The house is in a safe area and there are some steep paved roads with amazing views for those interested in walks. We recommend having a "lookout" person assist with entering and exiting the driveway as it's a busy curve. Fajardo is an hour away for those interested in tourist excursions, but be warned that you will miss the house and town within 10 minutes of stepping into tourist world! All local food great, including Mavi lemonade stand is amazing! The trip to Charco Azul and Cascada El Survivor is worth it for the adventurers out there(4WD recommended). The owner, Carla, was great about communicating with us and even provided Google directions to a supermarket on our way in. Irene, the property manager, is super sweet and also great at communicating.

Summary: Life is too short NOT to click that "Book Now" link. Upon arrival you are greeted by one of the most sincere and genuine souls you shall ever meet, Irene. With her sweet demeanor, she shows you the almost endless amount of resources you have at your disposal. Games, books, washer/dryer, even spices for your cooking. Despite her thorough demonstration, your eye seems to be peeking out at the magnificent Caribbean Sea crashing on the southern coast of what you've already learned (via the drive) is the most beautiful island you've ever seen. I arrived with a family of 6 including teens, infant, and children between 7-9. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT for us. The host Carla & Sean acommodated so well for our infant son. It was a seamless transition from home to paradise. The communication was absolutely on point and they even recommended the perfect eating spots. I've read some reviews about stores and restaurants being a bit far, but the truth is ... they aren't that far at all. There is a fuel station merely blocks away, a few local eateries within 10 minutes of a drive, and the supermarket is just a 20 minute drive. The house has hot water for showers, cold air inside on warm days, and speedy WIFI for all your Insta-worthy pics (There will be many.) How about that pool & cabana? Incredibly illustrious! Imagine grilling outside, next to you the pristine blue backdrop of the ocean sparkling the Besos Del Sol while sipping on your favorite beverage ... YEA! THAT GOOD! 10/10 - WILL RETURN

Summary: This property is BEAUTIFUL. The pictures do NOT do it justice. The outside has a large pool with a wonderful cabana. Lots of room for your friends and family. The inside is decorated with class and style. It is fully stocked with all the amenities you will need. We stayed 7 nights and loved it! We felt very safe. Carla, the owner, and Irene were wonderful. Very responsive! Excellent communication!! We will definitely be back!
