We have put a great deal of love and care into our cottage and are so happy to be sharing it with you; you might just leave a piece of your heart here. The property extends over 17,500 sq. feet, with 66 feet of shoreline, a dock that extends into the water, and a sun-deck near the shore, steps from the fire pit.
Getting here:
- if you don't want to drive, you can always catch the Ontario Northland bus from convenient locations in major cities. It will drop you off at and pick you up from a stop that's 2 mins. walk from the cottage.
The lake is:
- clean, free of rocks and weed. White clay bottom.
- shallow for nearly half a kilometre, after which it gets deep. Perfect for all!
- great for water sports and boating (kayaks and canoes available for rent within 10 mins. from the cottage; public dock just 2 mins. from the cottage).
- a great spot for fishing (we've got Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Rock Bass, and others).
- frozen in the winters for some pick up hockey, ice skating and ice fishing
The fire pit is:
- large, surrounded by several muskoka chairs and benches.
The hot tub:
- is located on one of the three patios.
- comfortably fits 8 people.
- has mosquito protective netting.
- is beautifully lit with string lights.
Patio 1 has:
- the hot tub.
- an outdoor sofa set.
Patio 2 has:
- the BBQ.
- an outdoor dining set with umbrella.
- string lights for beautiful ambiance.
Patio 3:
- is attached to the primary bedroom, serving as a private balcony.
All patios are lake facing.
There are 4 cameras on the outside of the property. The first one looks for at the front door, there are two that look on each side of the house, and one that faces the patio, backyard, and lake area.

Please be advised that occasionally a train passes by through the town. We like to think it's the Polar Express.

Summary: We had an excellent time staying in this cottage. There was enough space for everyone. on a beautiful shallow lake, great for young kids. Walking distance into downtown Sundridge with a beach, restaurants, shops, grocery store and a fresh water spring close by to refill drinking water. We would definitely stay again. Only downside was having to take our garbage with us in the end and we were not provided a ticket from the host to drop off at the local dump. Otherwise excellent place for families to stay!

Summary: Charming, relaxing, and almost magical (particularly at night). We immediately felt at home and highly appreciated the little details that the host thought of - stocked with all of the basics as well as fun accessories to use in the lake or playing games inside on rainy days. The cottage was impeccably clean and the property very well kept. Any questions we had were answered quickly and it was clear that the host was committed to us having an excellent stay. The location was phenomenal for our family - immediate access to amenities like the LCBO, Foodland, and Restaurants out our front door with immediate access to a beautiful lake out the back door. The dock area is fantastic and we enjoyed several morning coffees watching the ducks play around in front of us. That same area has a firepit nearby and we loved sharing fires with the kids at night while star-gazing on the dock. All-in-all a 10/10 experience for us. Highly recommend!

Summary: The location is ad described with the back yard on the lake. The house/cottage extremely clean with planty of beds for 3 families. Lcbo and local brewery are on very short distance. Highly recommended.

Summary: This cottage is a gem! The cottage is well laid out (inside and out) and offered everything we could need for a comfortable stay. Our host was very attentive and quick to respond when needed. The water is lovely and the kids had a great time. You may hear the train a time or two during your stay, but otherwise a very quiet area. Hot tub was wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

Summary: Very big backyard for activities (we brought a lot of our own games), 5 minute walk to the grocery store and LCBO in case you forget anything or need to refuel, and the lake is knee deep for quite a long way so great for kids and adults alike. We would definitely come back!

Summary: The cottage, inside, was everything it said, clean comfortable and well stocked. However the outside was very disappointing! Weeds, rotten wood chairs, etc. Tremendous potential but needs to be maintained better.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay very much. The place is very clean, warm, and spacious. Kids enjoyed playing with the very complete collection of board games. Hot tub was also clean and functional. Rhea was professional and responsive and the listing was accurate. In my opinion, however, this rental is a 5 star for summer vacations. In winter, we couldn’t find much outdoor activities close by as the village is small and remote. Another small criticism is lack of basic consumables such as garbage bags and washing machine pills in the cottage. But, overall, our experience was very positive. Thank you Rhea for hosting us.
