4 Bedroom House in Upper Kangaroo River

Book 2 nights and stay a 3rd night free! *Conditions apply.
Nestled in Upper Kangaroo River is this stunning farmhouse, Braebrook. Only ten minutes from Kangaroo Valley township yet a million miles from a care in the world, the property was once the centre point of an original Kangaroo Valley dairy farm and in the 1970s attempts were made to create a micronation on the site - Little Scotland. Today it is a beautifully renovated retreat surrounded by 100-year-old fruit trees and serenely situated at the foothills of Upper Kangaroo River.
The home offers four comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, spacious white timber lined interiors, large wrap around entertaining decks and wood burning fireplace; firewood is provided from May to September. Braebrook beautifully combines old world charm with quality bedding, a gourmet kitchen (there's a coffee plunger and you'll need to BYO ground coffee), a magnificent 3.7m wooden dining table from the Royal Botanical Gardens Restaurant and a number of indoor and outdoor daybeds.
Relax under the shade of Australias largest Magnolia tree, enjoy lemons from the 100-year-old tree beside the house and regular visits from kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and a wide variety of native birds. Can you find the Bower bird nest near the creek?
With bush walking, swimming and canoeing on your doorstep Braebrook is a truly magnificent weekend or weeklong experience for couples, small groups of friends or families.

Summary: The home is in a lovely private location surrounded by trees and a short drive into kangaroo valley. However the condition of the house was disappointing - it was in need of a good deep clean and some basic maintenance. We wouldn't stay here again.

Summary: Beautiful location close to kangaroo valley village. It was a nice stay and very peaceful. Lovely comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. House and grounds could do with a good clean and tidy. House was very dusty with lots of cobwebs and dirty windows and bathroom tiles. Couldn’t use the air conditioner. It’s really disgusting, clogged with dust and dirt. Bit disappointing overall only as the ads suggest it’s luxury.

Summary: We stayed for three nights at Braebrook - two couples. 25-35 years old. We felt the property was absolutely stunning. So much thought was put into laying out each little nook. The Beds were super comfortable. We had a chef with us and he highly rated the quality of the cookware and oven. We visited some of the local establishments, which we loved. 1. Hampton Deli (amazing quality produce) 2. The friendly Inn (perfect pub meal) 3. Drove to Berry, half hour away and a must! hope to be back!

Summary: We stayed here with our bridal party for our wedding in October and it was beautiful. We got ready here on the day of our wedding and it was such a beautiful place to do that! Relaxing with a lot of space and peace and quiet. The amenities are great and the place had a bunch of beautiful products to use as well. We'd definitely like to come back one day as it now holds such special memories for us <3 Great space for kids as well with the cows, swing and the trampoline! Thank you for having us!

Summary: We stayed at Braebrook for a well deserved 'mums' weekend away and this stunning Kangaroo Valley cottage did not disappoint. Well equipped, tastefully decorated and with a roaring log fire, we were able to relax from the moment we stepped foot through the front door. The spacious kitchen allowed us to cook a beautiful Friday night dinner and various other meals throughout the weekend. We also managed a couple of walks in the stunning Kangaroo Valley surrounds and we ventured into town for a special birthday lunch on the Saturday. In hindsight, we probably could have self catered the lunch and not left the property, as it was so peaceful and relaxing there. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you for having us!

Summary: We had the most wonderful time at Braebrook. The house was just beautiful! Straight out of a magazine. Although it rained all weekend, we couldn't have asked for a more cosy getaway. The house was clean when we arrived, the beds were all very comfortable and the kitchen/dining was perfect for entertaining and cooking large meals. It was the nicest weekend away in a lush, green valley. Only a short drive away from Kangaroo Valley town and under 30 minutes to Berry. Would recommend Braebrook to stay. We hope we can go again!

Summary: The property and the grounds were lovely. Beautiful and comfortable home. Unfortunately it was not as clean as we would have liked and having the guests sweep, unpack the dishwasher and wipe down the bathrooms prior to leaving seemed a little much especially since the property was not immaculate. It is however a great place to relax and entertain.
