Positive: Burgsdorf Guest Farm is a truly unique place with a wonderful atmosphere of care and hospitality. The experience here was a highlight of our entire trip to Namibia. The dedication to animal welfare is remarkable; the farm provides a safe haven for rescued wildlife. Seeing these animals up close is a moving experience. The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming and passionate about their work. If you are looking for an authentic and unforgettable connection to nature, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Positive: Loved the animals and the free game drive. It rained so it was amazing. The breakfast was great, except the coffee, luckily they had cappuccinos which made up for it. It was also very quiet and spent some quiet time next to the pool and in the living area.

Negative: We did not know we should book lunch on the Saturday in advance, so we had to drive to nearby town to get food for lunch. They also ran out of my favourite drink, luckily I brought some of my own and they allowed me to drink it there. It rained the whole weekend and the road leading to the lodge was a river, luckily I was there with my 4x4. Any other car would not make it for sure.

Summary: The kids loved the animials and the first time they could touch a Rhino and feed Ostriches.

Positive: Very remote. Lovely grounds . Food was plentiful.

Negative: It wasn’t our type of experience . Struggled with the pseudo captivity of the rhinos and cheetahs. Their hearts are in the right place but we do not support wild animals being domesticated. I think many people would enjoy close encounters with the animals. People were great and the room was comfortable. The road in resulted in a flat tire so be prepared .

Positive: This Farm is a gem in the desert. It lays some 10 km from main "C" road hidden in the middle of savanna/desert. The access road is OK even for smaller cars (we arrived with minibus without problems). The whole setting is beautiful: quiet rooms around beautiful central garden with pool, stylish african restaurant hall with bar. Dinner and breakfast is very tasty, staff is exceptional, internet fast:-) There are some cheetahs and rhinos around :-) The Farm is only about 2,5 hours from Sesriem, so you can stay here and head up for dunes-trip early morning. This was not my first visit of Burgsdorf Farm. I will definitely come again and wish I could stay more nights some day.

Positive: We had two exciting days at the farm at the start of our Namibia self drive round trip. Burgsdorf Guest Farm has surprised us with the excellent hospitality, clean and spacious rooms ( we had a bungalow at the water hole), the good food and so on. The variety of animal species to see is surprosing as well, don't miss the evening feeding trip. One of the best things we did in Namibia.

Negative: Actually I can't think of something we didn't like. Some people might not like the landscape (very dry, almost desert like), gravel roads and the long drive. But they should not go to Namibia then.

Summary: Very nice guest farm in southern Namibia, highly recommended.
