Positive: Super location for accessing all the local hills of interest to "baggers" (Ben Hope, Ben Loyal and a bit further away Ben Klibreck). And on your doorstep there is some fantastic coastline and beaches. Cottage is very well equipped; feels very "home from home" compared with more minimalist, spartan cottages we've been in. Nice to find a little "welcome pack" with some milk, biscuits and cheese. Useful local shop in Talmine within walking distance. Our dog loved it too (but be aware there is livestock grazing down to the beaches).
Negative: The local Craggan Hotel is a short walk away but unfortunately closed this season (2022).
Summary: Perfect getaway from it all in a lovely cottage in a great location in a beautiful part of Scotland.

Positive: Cottage had everything required for a home from home break. Very clean and cosy. Extra touches such as tea, coffee, milk, cake, crackers all were extremely handy having left our grocery bag at home. Scenery was absolutely stunning and due to clear skies at night, great view of stars and the occasional satellite. Nearby store well stocked and within walking distance.
