Positive: The house is located just outside a small village in a quiet area. Itd very cozy and welcoming and has all the appliances one would need on a trip. The beds are quite soft and overall the property was quite clean.

Positive: The property was situated in a beautiful spot. It was quiet the dog had loads of room in the enclosed area around the house very typical of property I knew growing up in the area we loved every minute. My son is a keen photographer so for him he couldn’t have found anywhere more perfect
Negative: The heating system around the house maybe just us but couldn’t get the heat around the other room again it was like growing up the fire in the living room was exceptional and cosy. I have severe mobility problems so could have done with more heat in the other downstairs living room because not been able to use upstairs I would have slept on the large couch which incidentally would have been the perfect place to sleep in and because of its accessibility to the downstairs bathroom instead I had to make do with the char in the other room no problem because I am not there but for a short time our stay was to short though because overall we loved it and will be back all being well sorry we had to break the lockbox for the key but the code given did not work and I kind of needed to get in to stretch out on the chair as I was becoming irritable with being in pain etc so sorry about that otherwise it was great

Positive: We loved the remoteness of the cottage - and the incredible views! The garden was secure for our dog to be out in and a gate enabled us to access the neighbouring field). All instructions for finding the cottage and using the fire, shop opening (and closed!) times, etc, were very clear and easy to follow. We enjoyed the space in the cottage - there being two sitting rooms (we used one for reading and the other for TV/film watching) and an extra toilet was useful. The kitchen was fully stocked and well equipped, even had a dog bowl which meant I could keep our second one in the car. The property contact, Meggan, and her parents were very friendly and helpful when I had questions re. accessing the beach we could see from the cottage. The OS map on the wall above the fireplace with a couple of pins in was a useful addition. The bath was wonderfully deep and long - my 13 year old daughter loved it! The collection of books and Dvds were varied.
Negative: The curtains in the bedroom let the light through more than I'd have liked - there isn't a lot of dark on the north coast of Scotland in July (which is one of the many reasons we love the area!) so blackout curtains or blind would be a super addition. In the Info Book, more info/brochures on the local area, places to eat, and what to do could be included. Also, have a pen available with the Visitors Book as not having one meant I couldn't write in it - and we had lots of good things to say.

Positive: Comfortable cottage in a stunning location. The cottage has all you need to enjoy a week away from it all. Being able to walk for miles straight from the back of the cottage was great. Love the remoteness of this cottage. Skinnet beach also has to be one of my favourite beaches in Scotland. Enjoyable stay.
