Positive: Alessandro and his wife (i can't spell her name) were absolutely amazing! Super facilitating, staying up for my later than expected check in, and on my exit, offered to wake up slightly earlier to make me a cooked breakfast for my travels AND drive me to the train station as he was needing to pass by anyway! Such kindness is rare and doesn't go amiss. The views from up in the hill were something unreal also, having possibly the best view of lake como on your doorstep is something you shouldn't take for granted. The breakfasts were plentiful also! And cats in the neighborhood! Would highly recommend.
Negative: As i went off season there were few people. Nothing on the end of c'era una volta.

Positive: The hosts were pleasant. The breakfast was limited but adequate. My room was very large.
Negative: The hotel was supposed to have wifi, but it wasn't available in my room. They told me I had to go to the lounge area to access wifi, which was not convenient late at night or early in the morning. I was told the bus drops off near the hotel, which if you have bags is not true. It's at least a 20 min walk from the bus on the road, which is all uphill, so a struggle with bags. Without bags, there's a shorter trail (about 10 mins), but it's not lit up and slippery when wet and uphill going back to the hotel. Taxis were quoted as 20-22 Euros each way, which I didn't take due to the cost until the last day to the train (with bags). If you factor that cost in, it's not worth staying there. Note, the bus does not come very often, and it does not take cash, so you had to buy tickets elsewhere prior to boarding, also not disclosed.

Positive: Breakfast and attention great! Alessandro and wife were very informative, communicative, and helpful in many languages. Nice large sized room areas along with privacy and decent hot shower. Once you arrive, the view of lake como next to the B&B is spectacular! makes the tight switch back drive up the mountain to Perledo, well worth it. Reasonably priced. Having personal transportation means is best to get around up and down to Varenna, Bellano and ferry.
Negative: Wifi didn't reach my room but was available in other main areas. Could use improvement by using a wifi extender.
Summary: Spectacular views once you get through the switchbacks and arrive up the hill to Cra Una Volta BB

Positive: The hosts were charming and very informative about the area. The double room was comfortable and clean.
Negative: Car parking regarding the accomodation was poor when carrying luggage up the steep hill and the actual drive to the villa was very taxing narrow road snd hair pin bends

Positive: The kindness of Alessandro and his family was above and beyond. He was helpful in all aspects. Helped us with our taxis to get down to Varana and the Breakfast was amazing.
Negative: Nothing was wrong with the property, charming.
