We welcome 4 guests to this lovely and typically Mallorcan country house, located on the outskirts of Alaró, a little but charming village.
If you feel like feeling as if you were in the mountain itself without leaving home, this is going to be the perfect place. The garden is surrounded by tress and plants as if it was a little forest or botanic garden. There are many terraces and paths made by the rocks and stones themselves that make the walks along this place something unforgettable, as well as sitting outdoor and have a glass of wine in peace. You can have an energising breakfast at the porch where you also can have lunch or dinner accompanied by the views on the mountains, the fields and the village. The property is fenced and there are neighbours around.
The house, decorated with lots of marvellous antiquities, has a great hall when you enter which leads to the dining room, prepared for 8 people. Then you reach the air-conditioned living room which also has a wood stove and ample sofas to relax while watching TV or reading some interesting book. The kitchen, despite its size, counts with all utensils and household appliances like the ceramic hob, oven and microwave among others. The laundry room is independent and it comes with a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board. The bathtub bathroom comes with a bidet. The bedrooms can be found upstairs. There are two bedrooms. One has two twin beds and room enough for a cot and a high chair, and an en-suite toilet. The second bedrooms has a double bed. Both are equipped with a closet and air-conditioning.
Alaró is a town located in the west area of Mallorca, surrounded by mountains and with some routes for excursions. In fact, we recommend the excursion of Salt d'es Freu to true hikers, specially during the winter season for the rain water falls down and it is a spectacle. The visit to the famous castle of Alaró is a must. You will find a grocery store at the centre of the village as well as good restaurants and cafes. regarding the beaches, you can choose among the sandy beaches like the one in Palma or little pebbled coves like Port des Canonge and Cala Deià.

Summary: Overall a good base to explore this beautiful island. Just remember the road can be very narrow. For an exciting drive take the M11a!! Only comment on accommodation is the hot water, takes over 5 minutes to come alive then runs cold after a few moments then heats up again !! 😀

Summary: A lovely traditional home situated within walking distance to Alaró. It is an old house, and somewhat darker than in the pictures, but we didn’t find that to be a problem, as we knew that from reading previous reviews.

Summary: Summary: Traditional Spanish house with plenty of room and a lovely patio. I liked: nice large property within easy walk of the local town with many bars and resteraunts. I did not like: no welcome pack on arrival so we relied on a local restaurant for sustinance. Hot water was a bit hap hazard.

Summary: Lovely house just a short walk away from quaint town with restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets. House is spacious and comfortably furnished. The kitchen was small and adequately resourced. Outside terrace was lovely althought the midges were not great. Parking in the road outside did not cause us any issues. Great walks from the house up into the mountains.

Summary: “Great house in a beautiful city. Very nice location for climbers like us. We had some problems with the hot water which kept going from hot to cold while showering, but this was fixed immediately when I made the hosts aware of the problem. The air conditioners in all rooms where nice to have when the nights got cold. Great place for a group of three to four!”

Summary: Le logement est bien situé au calme en bordure de la petite ville d'Alaro. La localisation est centrale pour visiter Majorque. La décoration du logement est typique. Il y a un 2e WC à l'étage, bien pratique quand on est 4 Il faisait un peu frais début avril et le logement manque de chauffage au rez-de-chaussée
