Positive: The location - between the pueblo and Playa El Almejal was great. The room was clean and cleaned every day. The bed was comfortable. The owners were away, but the lady looking after the property was so lovely.
Negative: My expectations were set quite high given the glowing reviews on booking.com. But the owners were away, which meant that there was no food available at the property, no yoga on offer and no offers to help with organising tours in the area. Everyone needs their holidays, of course, however, I chose to stay here because of those things and without them I found the price-quality ratio to be incorrect. The room was considerably more expensive because it has 4 beds in it. Of course, for single occupancy only one bed should be made up, which was the case, but you pay for the other 3 beds nonetheless.

Positive: It was a wonderful, tranquil place to stay set in lush tropical gardens with a great chillout deck and a view of the sea. Dianne and Pedro took care of me with their delicious vegetarian food cooked with love and care. My room was cleaned daily. Pedro organised my whale watching tours which were fabulous. I practiced some yoga and meditation and it was just pure joy to be there with.the music of nature surrounding me.
Negative: 5 days wasn't long enough for me!

Positive: The location of this hotel is perfect a 30 second walk to the most beautiful beach on Colombia's pacific coast. It has a pizza Resturant next door and amazing home cooked food from the hosts. Pedro & Diana are excellent hosts extremely attentive and helpful. Breakfast each morning was delicious and on time. I can't recommend this hotel enough, do not hesitate to book. I visited in the humpback migration season, it was magical and I saw so many whales, you can even spot them from the beach 30 seconds walk, in front of the hotel. Pedro helped me book all my excursions direct from the hotel, including transport, I was able to do I night jungle walk & full day whale watching tour. This location and hotel was the highlight of my trip to Colombia.
Negative: The location of the hotel (remote Colombia) means that the facilities are basic. However you will find the same across the whole region so nothing of concern.

Positive: The location is absolutely great: at the beginning of the beach, the place has seaview and is surrounded with a paradise like garden. From the room you can hear the ocean and all the sounds of the animals in the jungle. The village is on a walking distance. The hosts were super kind, welcoming and eager to help with information and tours. When our turtle tour got cancelled, they took us on the beach where we found a turtle laying her eggs. The hosts cooked a very good vegetarian meal for us. Would highly recommend this place!
