Positive: Beautiful, spacious and comfortable, in the heart of Brecon. This was the perfect base for our small family before a summer wedding. Everything you could possibly need, as well as some lovely, personal touches - a tiny teddy bear to welcome us, and a bottle of apple juice made from apples on the owners’ orchard.
Negative: Nothing. Was perfect.
Summary: Central, comfy, characterful. Can’t wait to go back!

Positive: We spent a glorious week and were made welcome by our perfect hosts, Gavin and David. Cantre Selyf is a beautiful, well equipped property with a lovely garden. Definitely our favourite of many holiday homes we have stayed in over the years. We will return.

Positive: Accommodation was very spacious, well equipped and full of charm. Gardens were beautiful. Owners were very welcoming and made us feel right at home with all the thoughtful touches around the apartment. I would definitely recommend this place for couples, friends and families. Location is perfect for exploring Brecon or eating out with convenience of parking.

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Dove Cottage. Gavin was a fantastic host – friendly, welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed. The cottage is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, fully equipped with everything you could possibly want, and thoughtfully appointed with so many lovely touches that made it feel like a real home from home. One of the highlights was sweet Quincy the spaniel, who came to visit us and completely stole our hearts! The stunning walled garden is a peaceful oasis right in the middle of Brecon, making it the perfect place to relax after exploring the town. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Dove Cottage to anyone looking for a special place to stay.

Positive: Before we even talk about the property, it has to be said that David and Gavin were excellent hosts. Warm and friendly, they improved our stay immeasurably and gave great tips and recommendations. The property is just beautiful. Gorgeous garden surroundings, tasteful interior decorating and very comfortable. It is new, clean, free of clutter, functional and livable. On top of that, there are so many small touches that made this a great stay, sharp knives, an umbrella, basic supplies to get us through the first few days. The location is great, within a very easy walking distance of the town and easily drivable to the gorgeous hills and the hikes there. We cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Positive: The property exceeded all my expectations. The location was fabulous, the house was extremely spacious and there was wasn’t a single thing which I could fault. The hosts were super accommodating, and made every effort to make our stay here special. They were always quick to respond and responsive to my messages. Thank you so much.

Positive: Location - centre of Brecon, cafes, restaurants, supermarket all within a few minutes walk. Access to the large garden and private car park. Superb hosts, lots of little extras to make your stay easy, comfortable and special. We raised one issue with them to which they responded immediately.
Negative: Nothing but I believe the beds are a standard double and two standard singles so anyone over 6 foot take note.

Positive: The house is a delightful character property and had all the facilties we required for self-catering. It's position in the centre of Brecon was convenient for access to restaurants and shops. The added advantage of parking for 2 cars was ideal. We appreciated our ensuite bedrooms, which were spacious warm and comfortable. We loved the big kitchen diner and the attractive lounge, enjoying the pleasure of the wood burning stove each evening. We loved all the added extras: bath robes, fresh flowers, snacks and even complimentary drinks !! The home produced apple juice was delicious and my friend was particularly pleased with the keepsake teddy bears and chocolate in our rooms :)
