Casa Clara is a little gem on the Amalfi Coast. Just renovated, it enjoys large rooms, a simple and clean design and a breathtaking view. It has two bedrooms, each with a connected bathroom: the ideal home for both the family and two couples. The location is remarkable: central and at the same time away from noise. The town center is just a few minutes' walk away: restaurants, bars, grocery stores, bus stops… are immediately reachable. The whole house is served by wifi and air conditioning. To reach the house it is necessary to go down about 100 steps from the main road. We recommend that you reach us without a car.
The house is organized on one level:
• Sea view terrace;
• Large living area overlooking the sea and Positano and Capri, with kitchen and living room, equipped with TV, sofa and table for 6;
• 1 large double bedroom with view (bed size 160x190) with ensuite bathroom - with shower;
• 1 double bedroom / or two single beds (bed size 160x190);
• Bathroom with shower;
Casa Clara is located on the west side of Praiano, in a very quiet and peaceful area, from which you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets. The villa can be reached via two routes: the easiest way is through the Church of San Gennaro with a path of about 300 meters and about 110 steps; alternatively you can go down about 170 steps from the main street. Parking is not available. We recommend that you reach us without a car.

Summary: A highlight of our trip. The apartment is beautiful, the view spectacular. It is newly renovated, and huge! More than enough space for our family and kids. The host has two children and my girls loved to play with them for hours, so the kids had the best time ever. We loved Praiano, so happy we stayed there and chose this place. The beaches down the front are amazing. We are in Positano now, and while it’s also beautiful, I preferred Praiano to stay. Highly recommend this villa!

Summary: Amazing place, even better than the pictures. Lots of stairs, so keep that in mind, but that’s everywhere on the Amalfi Coast. Nadia was fantastic. The view was INCREDIBLE, and we will cherish the time we spent here.

Summary: We cannot say enough wonderful things about Casa Clara. To start, our host Nadia, was so helpful and nice. She was available throughout our stay for any questions or requests. The place is spotless, is well-appointed with anything you could possibly need and the view is just spectacular. The photos on the website depict exactly what Casa Clara looks like. We stayed for six nights and cannot wait to go back. One word of advice is to pack light. We (really just me) didn't and we had to lug many suitcases up and down A LOT of stairs. There is a washing machine and clothesline, so you can wash and rewear clothes. There are two markets, a small pharmacy and many restaurants nearby, as well.

Summary: Host was very responsive and the place was overall nice. We enjoyed our time here but we had a few issues. - The stairs were steep and rough though. If it were just the 206 stairs from the street to the villa it probably would have been ok, but the entire area is essentially uphill. To get to the street the villa is even on from the Main Street, it’s 397 steep stairs. So from the Main Street to this villa is 600+ stairs. Your other option is walk the uphill winding roads, but it takes awhile. It is not easy to get on-the-fly transportation in this city. I would suggest renting scooters/vespas as it makes things easier, but we had a group of 7 and some weren’t comfortable driving them on the tight streets so it was tough. - Another issue we had was ants. There were a fair amount in the downstairs bedroom, as well as a ton near the pool. The lounge chairs weren’t usable as ants would always get you. - we had the shower drain drain too slowly in the main bathroom and flooded the floor

Summary: The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms solid, and the A/C was exactly what we wanted. Great for a longer stay. Hard to undersell the upper garden/patio/pool — amazing views of the coast from here, plenty of umbrellas and shade to shield you from the sun. The kitchen was well-stocked, albeit missing a better coffee-brewing option than a small French press. It’s a hike from the main road & amalfi coast bus line, but that’s what one should expect staying on amalfi coast. The stairs were well-maintained so simply a matter of physical condition — the bag porter service at check-in was complementary AND clutch. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to others.

Summary: The view is unbearable from this property. Spacious and comfortable once you climb from the street. We were very happy and the host was very kind and responsive to our needs and requests. The property description describes the place as 200 some steps from the street. This is accurate, but be prepared for uphill uneven stair steps. This equals climbing a 14 story high-rise building every time you leave or come home. Additionally, to get places in town is a long walk with many time the number of stairs steps. One can walk to part of the town on switchback roads. But, to go from the home to the main town by sea is many many times 14 stories of steps. Only a week conditioned athlete could walk to the home from the main town as it is all uphill stairs. Last, I don't recommend driving in high season. We were there in May just before peak tourist season and had great difficulty finding legal parking. The private parking spot offered is more than a half a mile away and a long walk up, before the 200 stairs. It didn't work for us. I'm the end, a great place with a killer view. Wonderful hosts. But, arduous walking on steps. You'll need to be in very good physical condition. But, I didn't gain weight!

Summary: Nadia is the most amazing host - such a lovely person and so helpful! Her management team, SMAAC, is also fantastic - easy to communicate with. The accommodation is absolutely stunning - super clean with gorgeous views. We loved the location - the sets of steps are separated by beautiful walkways. So picturesque!
