Positive: The property was in a fantastic location, a short city bus ride or 5 minute taxi ride from the center of the shopping, restaurant, boardwalk and old town of Funchal. The accommodation was newly renovated, roomy and comfortable, well furnished and had all the amenities needed, and very comfortable bedding. The air conditioning worked very well. This villa was also the cleanest rental property I ever stayed in. Clara, who was our contact person, is lovely and made herself available for any question or need we had during our stay.
Summary: I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

What truly stood out was the hospitality: the host kindly welcomed us very late in the evening after a delayed arrival, which made everything effortless. Check-in was smooth, and small touches—like clear directions and local tips—made a real difference. The location is convenient for exploring, yet it still feels peaceful. Positive: Exceptionally clean and very well equipped property. Small details made a difference like having a supply of coffee ,dishwasher , washing tablets and salt/pepper . We even cooked as kitchen has everything one would need. Beautiful views from both terraces with a small grocer and baker near by … both, very friendly and helpful . Our teenagers liked having the upper floor to themselves . This space would also be ideal for a person working remotely .

Positive: A compact and cozy house with a stylish and functional design, where we felt very comfortable—just like home. I have to mention the especially comfortable beds. We didn’t miss anything. We appreciated the high-quality internet, air conditioning, and having three toilets. A big thank you to Carla, who was extremely helpful, communicative, and took great care of us. She always provided good advice and proactively kept us informed. Another advantage is the possibility to park a medium-sized car directly in the yard. 3 people / 7 nights. Thank you, and we will definitely come back!

Positive: We booked Casa do Loureiro just over a week before our stay and therefore the choice of accommodation was more limited but we couldn’t have made a better choice. Clara and her father were both very welcoming allowing us to check in early and leave later on the day of our flight. The bedrooms, kitchen and lounge were all very good and the whole house was spotless.
Negative: There is a steep hill up to the house but there is a regular bus service and cheap taxis if you prefer.
Summary: We loved our holiday in Madeira at Casa do Loreiro and would love to stay there again.

Positive: The house has been recently remodeled, is still very pristine. Everything is planned so carefully and thoughtfully that it feels like a proper home.! We didn’t just use the house for storage and as a place to steep, but truly enjoyed just hanging out there, cooking our meals and stretching on the yoga mats up on the terrace.
Negative: The neighborhood dogs were sometimes very loud at night

Positive: Clara the owner and her father Roberto were very helpful and communication was excellent. The house is exceptional. Beautifully decorated with everything you would need in the kitchen. The rooms were roomy and plenty of storage space and a lovely balcony in the main bedroom. There was a lovely second living room on the third floor with a large balcony from which we could sea Funchal town and the sea. The surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful. The walk to the old town took about 15 to 20 minutes. We walked back each time which was mosty uphill but it didn't take too long. There are plenty of taxis if required. Roberto told us about a wee bakery about 5 mins from the house. It was lovely and used by locals. We had a few breakfasts there during our stay. There was.also a grocery store beside it which stocked everything you would need. I can't recommend this properly enough and we would love to go back. Free street parking available outside the house, but can also use property's driveway if needed.

Positive: Apartament is modern, very spacious. There are 3 bedrooms, 3 toilets and 2 showers. It was super clean, fully equipped. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, iron, coffee maker, all the tableware and cutlery. Apartment has a terrace with the view on the ocean. Neighborhood is safe and quiet. Apartment has a private parking. Near the apartment is a grocery store where you can buy everything you need and a great bakery where they serve breakfast. Roberto is very helpful, we had a great contact, he answered on all our questions. I honestly recommend this place!! It’s 10 to 10 😊😊
