Positive: The apartment Casa Florio is beautifully located in a garden in the center of Taormina. Our host Fabrizio picked us up from the train station as agreed. He is a friendly, helpful and sympathetic young man who wants his guests to be well. The apartment was beautifully furnished and had most of what we needed, except for a few small things mentioned below. On the terrace outside we could enjoy mornings with sun and evenings with moonlight. Six days that we will remember with great pleasure.
Negative: There was never really hot water to do the dishes in the kitchen. We had to use the kettle. And, dear Fabrizio, please make sure there is a good carving knife in the kitchen.

Positive: The location! The place! Everything was absolutely perfect! We were right in the center but there was not a single noise at night that could bother us! The house is super cute and small and I absolutely loved it! It was like a beautiful nest with a terrace and it was perfectly located. The host was super accommodating and was really helpful throughout the whole stay! I appreciate that he was always checking in and was always available for help! We had the best time there by also celebrating my birthday and we totally enjoyed the place quite a lot! The apartment was extremely clean also and well furnished! The bathroom looks like a dream!
Negative: I was slightly scared to go up the stairs to the upper part of the apartment since they sometimes moved, but it’s just me being a scared cat ahah! Everything else was perfect!
Summary: absolutely loved our stay in Casa Florio!

Positive: The property was in an ideal quiet location, just one street back, further up the hill. The property is equipped with air conditioning both downstairs and in the upstairs bedroom, which was ideal as it was very hot when we were there. A special mention to Fabrizio (the owner) who did everything he could to make our stay comfortable. His communication from the booking stage through to arrival and departure was exceptional. Thank you for organising our taxi transfers.
Negative: The property had a spiral staircase to reach the upstairs which made it very awkward to get larger suitcases up and down. Having said that we left our suitcases whilst the flat was being cleaned and they were taken upstairs for us. Tip, take your empty suitcases downstairs and pack there. However most people won’t have an issue as they will probably just have carry-on luggage for long weekend stay. The other thing I would mention is there is an outside sitting area which we thought was for our private use but we found out it is shared with the owner’s other property next door. Good way to make friends but if you are older like us, we would order our own private space.

Positive: Fabrizio the host was great to communicate with via a messaging app and very helpful even before our stay began, advising me about transportation from the airport and check-in procedures. He was accommodating to all our requests! The apartment is adorable, authentic, spacious with two floors and a large bathroom, and perfectly located, mere minutes from the bustling town center. I would stay here again!
Negative: I have no suggestions for improvement!
Summary: A perfect apartment for a couple to enjoy Taormina for a few days or a week!

Positive: Fabrizio is a very attentive host. He made very good suggestions and was quick to respond to any requests. The apartment is beautifully Sicilian and very clean with enough coffee and other treats. The location is perfect. If ever we visit Taormina again we will definitely be back.
