Casa Kahuna is a luxurious modern home set back in a private neighborhood of Puntas in Rincon. It is conveniently located off Rincon's Route 413 "Road to Happiness" and has unobstructed views through the valley to the Caribbean Sea. This property was formerly owned by Kahuna and his wife Mama Kahuna. Back in the sixties, when the pioneers of surfing began to visit the island, Kahuna provided the first guesthouse on the west coast. It is just minutes from World Class Surfing Breaks, Magnificent Beaches, Amazing Restaurants, and Spectacular Snorkeling, with one of the worlds largest forest of Elk Horn coral, and yet it is secluded enough to provide peace and tranquility. The house was designed by cutting-edge New York architects, Big Prototype, with wall to wall glass windows, expansive terraces and louver window ventilation, which allows the North East Tradewinds to keep the house cool and comfortable throughout the year. Air conditioning is provided in all the bedrooms. Relax in the private pool while taking in the view of the Caribbean ocean. Get a workout in, in the privacy of your own house. Casa Kahuna boasts it's very own fitness studio, with a rowing machine, pull up bar, olympic bar with weights, kettle bells, wall balls, plyo boxes, jump ropes etc. The house has a back up generator and 700 gallon water cisterns in the event there is a disruption of service. Many other features include Sonos speakers throughout the house, recycled glass slabs, as wall panels, which glow in sunlight, murals and decorative concrete blocks that create scales of textures to create a tropical experience. You may never want to leave the property!!

Summary: We had been to Rincon before but this is by far the best place we have stayed. The house is absolutely beautiful and situated perfectly to enjoy the views of the island and ocean from spacious first- and second-floor verandas. The house is well appointed for a beach vacation complete with outdoor shower, and pool Beaches are an easy drive down the hill. Can’t wait to visit again!

Summary: Casa Kahuna did not disappoint. Very lovely home, safe neighborhood, 15 min. walk to beach, restaurants and convenience stores within one block. Down town Rincon 5-10 min by car. Our group consisted of six adults and one toddler. The house was large enough for all, well stocked kitchen, and very private pool and yard. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Great place that is 5-10 minutes from downtown Rincon and all the nearby famous beaches, bars and restaurants. Great view from the porches and pool area. Private with all the amenities you would want. One word of caution: the house is set into a hillside, so if you have anyone in your group that has mobility issues beware that there a lot of steps to get from the driveway into the house and then also to the upper floor.

Summary: We stayed 5 days. Plenty of space for the family, the house was clean, had everything we needed and more! The family spent most of the time at the pool and pool deck, the Gym was a plus! beautiful beaches just 5 minutes away and an awesome town nearby. The owners of the house were great! We had car issues during our vacation and she assisted us finding help. THANKS! We will definitely come back!

Summary: This property has outstanding features for a vacation! The view from the porch and balcony is beautiful whether sunny or rainy. The porch furniture is the best ever! The pool is great for a dip morning or afternoon - sun warms the water most of the day. Two TV areas have ample seating and the Roku worked well for watching Netflix. Four bedrooms and three full baths offered each of us privacy. The kitchen was well stocked. An indoor dining table plus another on the outdoor porch meant we could serve meals inside or outside. We loved our stay at Casa Kahuna!

Summary: Pros-Nice house and great areas to spread out . You can’t beat the view. Excellent laundry facilities. Comfortable beds. Cons- usually cold to at best barely warm showers at all times. Had a rat come out during day while sitting at pool. Eeeek! Also, need a new coffee machine.
