It is the old home of our family! The apartment in question is located on the first floor of a traditional farmhouse. It consists of two double bedrooms, living room with sofa bed, fireplace, kitchenette and two bathrooms (one of these serving, without shower). To reach it there is the external staircase.
Air conditioning in the bedrooms and in the living room.
Free WiFi and parking.
The structure has been recently renovated preserving the original characteristic features. With stone walls with large exposed sections, terracotta ceilings with chestnut beams, Tuscan terracotta floors, ancient doors with bolts and old locks, the house has been reborn without losing its essence.

Summary: We enjoyed the serene and beautiful landscape around us. We didn’t rent a car so just relaxed in our beautiful apartment and walked the trails and shopped the local grocery who had so much great produce and food. Lorella and her mother were wonderful and so kind. They had Tuscan snacks and wine on our arrival and even surprise treats. I highly recommend staying here.

Summary: The property is in a great location, and very clean. Unfortunately, we did not see the host once during our 6 days stay. We enjoyed the garden and the drives through the countryside. The apartment is small, especially the kitchen area, although it is well-equipped. The second bathroom is outside the apartment, which we did not use. The Wi-Fi was very intermittent. Although the bedrooms were a good size, they did not have shelving for our clothes.

Summary: We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed Anna Maria’s place. From Lorella’s welcome to the amazing Tuscan bread and figs. Their gifts of wine, food and most importantly, their warmth and friendliness. Fratticciola was the perfect home base for trips to Cortona, Lake Trasimeno, Montepulciano and Pienza. Everything was absolutely lovely. Grazie mille e Ciao!

Summary: The Casina was such a lovely spot away from the crowds we'd seen in Florence and Venice. It was an easy drive to Cortona and Montepulciano and other towns in Tuscany. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4 and well appointed. We were greeted with a plate of bruschetta, wine and other treats when we arrived. The kitchen was perfect for preparing breakfast or an easy dinner. Laundry and shopping were a short drive away. Would definitely stay there again.

Summary: Beautifully located in a small village just outside of Cortona, with small grocery store only steps away. Very well appointed. Host was very friendly and fluent in English. Excellent restaurants within close range by car.

Summary: We chose this apartment based on the location and the reviews and we’re not disappointed. Ideally located for exploring the region. Communication with the owners was prompt and easy. There was a freshly prepared plate of savoury goodies and a bottle of homemade wine for us to enjoy. The kitchen and bathroom are both quite small by North American standards but adequate for our needs. The entire apartment was extremely clean. Having access to an outdoor area was greatly appreciated. The hosts were very kind and helpful when needed.

Summary: Lorella and Anna Maria were wonderful! They had a small platter and bottle of wine on the table waiting for us at check in. The apartment was cozy and had everything we needed. It was close to Cortona and all that Tuscany has to offer!
