Two bedrooms with queen beds, well equipped kitchen, flat screen TVs mounted in each room, full sized washer & dryer, and large front porch with mini fridge all combine as your home base in paradise. Enjoy relaxing moments poolside, beachfront, or exploring the whimsical boutiques in the SUNNY QUAINT VILLAGES on Anna Maria Island.
Everything you need to enjoy your days on the island is at the cottage - just add food & drink + swimsuit & flip flops. We provide a STREET LEGAL GOLF CART (4 seats), beach chairs, beach umbrellas, Wheeleez beach wagon, bicycles, four stand up paddle boards, two-seat kayak, private outdoor shower/changing room with hot & cold water, two gas grills, coolers, and more! After a day at the beach or sightseeing, the private pool/spa awaits - chilled or heated - any time of the year. A 55 inch Smart TV is set up for you to watch your favorite team (or whatever!) while chilling in the pool! Ledge Lounger ice bucket/table in pool splash pad for your drinks.
Don't bring beach towels, paper towels, or toilet paper! We have all the basics (and more) supplied in the kitchen and bathroom. Pack n Play, high chair, booster seat & stroller are in the hall closet for the small ones. Pet dishes in place for your OTHER small ones!
Spices, chocolates, wine, water at each bedside, coffee, and tea complete the arrival necessities. Coffee grinder is also provided.

Summary: Family of 4 stayed here comfortably for 3 nights in April. Had an excellent time on the island. And we were really impressed with the property and its location. Cool little trail, steps from the door take you straight to Bean Point.

Summary: This property is idealโ€ฆclean, close to the beach and comes with everything that you need for a relaxing vacation. The outdoor area with heated pool, hot tub, kayak, paddle boards, outdoor shower and tv was amazing! We spent most of our time outdoors with everything that we needed. I canโ€™t say enough good thingsโ€ฆwe hope to go back soon!

Summary: My sixth year returning to reset and relaxโ€ฆ I was so relieved to see little Castaway still standing and looking fabulous after Helene and Milton- kudos to Dan and Goose for their hospitality and even welcoming a new puppy to the scene. It was wonderful to see businesses and folks coming back from the devastation and look forward to next time!

Summary: The island itself was absolutely perfect โ€“ beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Unfortunately, the amenities at the cottage left much to be desired. The hot tub, which was one of the main reasons I chose this property, was unusable for 2 of the 3 nights I stayed. When reaching out to the hosts, their response was underwhelming at best. The first complaint led to a "fix" which allowed the hot tub to be used one night, the second complaint the host simply stated that they hoped it "didn't ruin the evening" rather than offering any real solution or compensation. Communication was lacking throughout our stay, which was disappointing. While the location was wonderful, the overall experience fell short due to the unusable amenities and poor host response.

Summary: Castaway Cottage exceeded our expectations! The location is an easy 2 minute walk to the beach and dining is an easy 3 minute golf cart ride. The owners outfitted the home to perfection. We loved our stay and look forward to another visit soon.

Summary: Myself, my husband and our twin boys age 8 stayed from Dec 23rd - Dec 28th, 2024. and Yes even after 2 hurricanes we still went! and with zero regrets. AMI came a long way in 2months of hard work.Dan and Lori were great! They kept me informed and up to date with status of repairs because of hurricane damage. Any questions I had prior to arrival with status of island, places open etc. They got back to me same day. This place was perfect for us. Everything we needed was there, the pool was great and ready for us. A quick 2mins walk and we were on the beach. The golf cart we used everyday which the kids loved! It was an all around great place to stay & will definitely visit here again. Thank you Dan and Lori :) Hope 2025 is a great year !
