Negative: Rooms and hotel very tired, needs full refurbishment, parking small, restaurant and bar not open to guests on a Sunday evening even though it was a bank holiday and the pub next door was fully booked for dinner

Negative: The room was a bit tired in places, there was some minor areas where paper was peeling from the walls. I'd asked for an accessible room with a shower because I walk with crutches and cannot get into a bath. I got what I requested, but it was a ground floor room in a converted outbuilding in the car park called the coach house, it wasn't in the main house as I'd expected. The room seemed quite small, the doorway to the bathroom was narrower than a normal doorway and access was further restricted by a few inches by having a small fridge by the door. The fridge had to be switched off at night as it was too noisy. For a double room it also only had 1 chair, leaving someone having to sit on the bed. The accessible entrance to the breakfast room was down what I'd consider to be a steep slope into the rear of the property and then up 4 or 5 steps. I can't comment on the actual hotel itself as I never had cause to go in. I expected more from a 4 star property and felt disappointed.

Positive: Fantastic breakfast. The hotel had Old world charm rather than being modern and glitzy. In a fantastic location just a few minutes walk to the beach. Very friendly and accommodating staff and a quiet and peaceful ambience to the hotel.
Negative: Could do with a few more electrical sockets in the room and a more comfortable mattress.
