Positive: The chalet is warm, clean, well equipped and the rooms are spacious. There is loads of storage, a boot room for ski gear and another useful room for washing and drying clothes. It has excellent views over the valley and what looks like a great swimming pool for the summer!
Negative: On arrival there weren't enough towels but this was sorted quickly. The fridge / freezer also wasn't turned on and needed cleaning but this only took 5 mins. We didn't have a car so the snowy uphill walk to Arc 1600 is relatively challenging, especially with young kids.

Positive: Melanie and Nico were such welcoming and gracious hosts! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a basket full of yummy, local treats and a lovely bottle of French wine. They even set up a sweet little Christmas tree, along with a box full of ornaments for us to decorate our tree with! The chalet was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated with all the essentials, including board games! The ski room was invaluable, as having warm ski boots, socks, etc. before stepping out into the cold was much appreciated! The ski lifts were a short drive away. Easy to park and go. I believe you can also ski in and ski out of the chalet. And THE VIEW! The view was truly breathtaking! Beautiful palette of muted colors in the early morning with the moon still glowing above the mountains (see picture). We were in awe every day. Thank you Melanie and Nico for an incredible stay! Our family will cherish the beautiful memories we made at Chalet Béla Vya! See you in Hawaii! :)
