Positive: This little cabin-like chalet sat on the ocean in the most beautiful setting. We enjoyed drinking our coffee, watching seals with our binoculars from the deck. There were also little benches in the trees to sit on. (Just watch for red ants!) The chalet was super cute, extremely clean, had comfortable bedding and was well stocked. You could tell the host put extra care into the details to make our stay enjoyable. We loved every moment here. We appreciated the short drive to the park and to town. There are even eateries in walking distance. Our host, Vira, was welcoming and easy to reach. We would definitely come back.
Negative: We would have loved to bring our black lab with us. But if dogs were allowed, this property might not have been as clean as it was!! lol
Summary: Location! The perfect place to see Acadia, enjoy family time and unwind in a beautiful, tranquil setting .

Positive: Beautiful home. From the deck, you can sit and listen to the sound of birds and the water lapping the shore. We went in July and the weather was perfect. Zero bugs sitting out in the evening. Every time we drove back to the property from being out, you were in instant “relax” mode. You could see the water from just about every window, and you can watch the sun come up. It was so beautiful. The king size bed was very very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and just a beautiful space. We would definitely rent this property again if we come to Bar Harbor. It was just minutes from the entrance to the national park. We walked at night up to several restaurants that were very close. We recommend C-Rays or Sweet Peas for dinner but there were several others that were just as nice. It was great after a day of hiking to not have to drive back into town to eat. Another great restaurant was the chart room. It was right on the water. I highly recommend this property. We stayed for a week.
Negative: The only thing I can think of negatively, but not really a negative, was not very high water pressure in the shower. But plenty of hot water! Also, it would be nice to have another bathroom if a couple were to be staying in the upper bedroom area. So keep in mind if there are four adults you will be sharing one bathroom. Aside from that I can’t think of any other negatives.
Summary: Perfect place to get away and enjoy all that the Bar Harbor Acadia national park area has to offer.

Positive: The house is situated beautifully along the Bar Harbor bay and is very comfortable with all amenities you need. Comfortable couch, chairs, fully equipped kitchen, everything you need. The owners clearly are putting effort in it to make a pleasurable stay for their guests.
Negative: Ten minutes drive from Bar Harbor, however the beautiful location makes more than up for that.
Summary: Beautiful base to enjoy exploring Arcadia & Bar Harbor, the home is really clean and well maintained

Positive: The place was so inviting from the second we pulled in the driveway. It was clean, host were in contact from the beginning. Beautiful view of the water, walk to Hatleys point.
Negative: The water had that beach smell to it, a very heavy iron scent, which is unavoidable and understandable.

Positive: EVERYTHING. Vira is a great host, we found a cozy atmosphere at our arrival. The house is was clean, the kitchen was clean and well provided with coffee, sugar, salt and fresh water in the fridge. The bathroom was clean and full of towels. Bedrooms are very spacious. And the terrace is the perfect spot to relax and admire the natural surroundings.
