Summary: We wanted to visit Lake Como but not stay in the usual tourist locations. We ended up booking this apartment which was halfway up a mountain. It had spectacular views and was silent. The pool is amazing with beautiful views of the mountains and lake. There are a couple of local restaurants and a bar plus a place to get fresh bread and pastries in the morning. We were made to feel very welcome by the amazing hosts/owners and their friend Frieda. Overall I can’t recommend Lake Como highly enough, it’s simply stunning with so much to see and do. We ended our trip with a day in Milan (about 90mins away) and had an amazing time in such a beautiful city. Thank you for everything!

Summary: Just got back from a very relaxing holiday. Everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming. The scenery all around is amazing. Sergio and Samuela made us extremely welcome and we greatly appreciated their hospitality and that of Frieda and Jan. Highly recommended.

Summary: We were very warmly welcomed by the owners and their friends with a special dessert and coffee. The village is authentic Italy which is what we had wanted to experience and everyone was so kind and friendly. We could not have had a more beautiful time. The walk to the river was exceptional. The mountains wrap the village like a warm blanket The cottage is cozy and offers all the amenities for a comfortable home away from home. We look forward to returning to the village and it's wonderful people.

Summary: Property was small but very clean and well appointed. Sitting on the ball on watching the world go by with a stunning backdrop of mountains was a real pleasure. I loved Garzeno, its people and the surroundings.

Summary: Located in the picturesque Garzeno mountain village, this home is small yet very comfortable; there are many trekking opportunities in the surrounding area, and the exquisite owners ,Sergio and Samuela are really helpful and welcoming. During my stay the temperature was a litte cold for the period, but the efficient pellet stove worked very well, as hot water and all the other things like Sat-TV etc... I would suggest this property for anyone who is looking for a peaceful yet not too isolated place (the lake it's just 10/15 minutes away by car); but above all, a special mention to Sergio and Samuela, two persons who have the uncommon gift to make you feel more like a welcome guest than a simple customer!

Summary: A nice chalet located in an incredibly friendly little village of Garzeno where everyone is so nice we were so very pleasantly surprised. Hosts Sergio and Samuela are amazing, we were regularly invited for coffee, wine and snacks and they were extremely helpful for anything we needed. We also got introduced to a lot of people in the local community and soon after we knew a lot of locals and I cannot emphasise enough how friendly and helpful everyone had been. The nature around Garzeno is stunning, there are mountain hiking trails nearby, a few restaurants within walking distance and the lake is nearby but you will need a car. With a car, everything is easily reachable (you will need to learn to ride around somewhat narrow streets) so you can plan on visiting the lake attractions while having a place to sleep where it's always a bit cooler over night which is great. All in all, a very quiet place with nice strategic location and amazing local community. Once again, Sergio and Samuela, thanks for everything!

Summary: I spent 5 nights in the chalet together with my girlfriend. we had a wonderful vacation and we really enjoyed it. Sergio and Samuela are very very good hosts. We were invited for coffee, wine and pastry and had a nice evening with them. They made sure we have everything we needed (We needed a scale for the kitchen) and samuela brought it by first thing next moring. In conclusion we can only recommend staying in the chalet.

Summary: My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in this lovely chalet. We loved the view of the mountains. The pool was closed during our stay but that is because its still very cold, but the views on that area is spectacular. Its up to the mountains so driving to get there is the only option really. The view going up and down the mountain is extraordinary. The village is quiet and very nice place to relax. The hosts are amazing, Samuela and Sergio are very friendly and hospitable. We were invited for coffee / tea upon arrival. And we were also invited for drinks and some braschino on our first night. We also would like to mention their friend Frieda, who also welcomed us upon arrival. She speaks English and she answers all our questions. Recommended a restaurant and offered helped with everything. We met the host friends too and their families. We were so happy during our stay. We really appreciate their effort in looking after us and making us feel welcomed. Thank you to everyone we met in Garzeno.

Summary: We had a very nice stay in Garzeno. The owners are very friendly, the house very clean and cosy and the pool we could use had an amazing view on the mountains. Beautiful area to explore. We would definitely recommend to stay at this place!

Summary: A lovely well looked after Chalet in an amazing location. The pool certainly lived up to expectation and then some. The bedroom is a bit small for luggage to remain in the suitcase and getting changed in, but their is enough space in the rest of the Chalet. A village store and bakery meant getting breakfast and a pack lunch each morning was a short walk away and great to have on the balcony looking at some of the alpine peaks nearby. Strongly advise getting around by car. Although the road to the chalet goes to a single lane in places getting there was no problem and you are rewarded with some stunning views. It also meant you can walk into/up the mountains and alpine meadows from home and close enough to drive into the high alps. We counted 4 restaurants within 2 miles and several more down in town by the lake. Our fantastic hosts really looked after us including when we needed help parking. It was lovely to have coffee and grappa with their family and suggested some great areas to consider visiting nearby. The pictures are a fair reflection of the property and the local sights. We will definitely want to come back to stay again next time we visit Lake Como and has been our favorite place we've ever stayed.
