Positive: The apartment was extremely clean an oasis! Beautiful, place, also please make sure the internet code is written down somewhere near the microwave. Just in case you loose cell service like I did. 2 nice size bedrooms with closets. Everything functioning even a washing machine, iron and the like. Everything was so modern, and very clean.
Negative: The location is a dangerous area in D.C. , and I wish someone would have a rating specifically for women traveling alone. I typically travel alone for business and stay at hotels. I decided to stay at a booking.com property could not get a hotel. Women if you have no choice and have to stay here prop something against the door, sleep on the sofa; so you are on alert and have time to defend yourself if someone were to break in. But, this is not a safe place for women especially if she is traveling alone. There were so many homeless people when I arrived I was afraid to put in my code for I was fearful that they would rush the door. I was not going to leave a review because the place was so clean and beautiful inside. But it does not have stunning beautiful views. It is stunning to see how everything outside is so rundown. Positive: Condo was comfortable for 2 adults, 1 child. Amenities included were nice.
Negative: There are no charming views as stated in description. The views are from Benning Street and 18th corner, where people hung out to drink, play music and smoke dope everyday until late in the night. The neighborhood did not feel safe. While shopping at the Safeway (with bullet holes in front glass) multiple police cars engaged in an arrest in the middle of the store. Also, while the trolley looks charming and free to ride, we didn’t feel safe to ride. Every 5-8 minutes one stops and clanks the bell; people get off talking loudly. Between the traffic noise, the trolley, racing cars and police sirens throughout the night, sleeping is hard to achieve. We were exhausted upon leaving. Also the property has an ant issue. Nothing could be left out without a swarm of ants coming out. While mostly in the kitchen, we encountered ants in the bathroom and bedroom floors. The free parking consists of two spots in the alley behind the building available to all guests on a first-come-first-serve basis. We had to park our vehicle on the street one night. On the plus side, there is 24x7 security cameras and codes to access the building as well as the condo itself. We contacted customer service a couple of times during our stay. They were responsive and professional.
Summary: Wish we could of taken the trolley and used public transportation, but we just never felt safe enough to try it.

Positive: The property was clean, new and perfect. The check-in was easy and it was self check-in, which I love! East access to all things DC. WiFi and plenty of space. Came with all the necessities for traveling. I loved it.
Negative: The area was a little scary. There were lots of people gathered right next door outside and they got kind of rowdy. Police came around a lot.One time we left and came back and someone had the door to our building bungeed open. Which is dangerous since it has a code on it for the purpose of being secure! It was not secure and there was a man just sitting in the hallway. He couldn’t get into our actual apartment but the building. It didn’t feel safe part of the time. It’s a shame the place didn’t have better neighbors because besides that, the place was perfect.!

Negative: The location is horrible. I don’t recommend staying here. Felt unsafe to be outside. The neighborhood is dirty and there’s always people wondering outside for no reason.
Summary: I wouldn’t stay there again. The neighborhood is sketchy.
