Sunnyside is a charming cosy pet friendly Victorian cottage with a lovely large south facing garden. It's right on the Suffolk Coastal Footpath which in a 10-15 minute walk, takes you over the beautiful marshes with a stunning view of colourful beach huts, to the beach and Southwold Pier.
It's tucked away location gives it a sense of seclusion, yet also being close to Southwold's bustling High Street and beautiful beaches, it has the best of both worlds. Sunnyside's sunny spacious garden with two patio areas, provides ample room for eating, relaxing and playing and there is plenty of space for parking on the private gated driveway.
In winter, you can hunker down in front of the open fire, with a lovely view of the garden and play a wide selection of the board games or DVDs or watch the SMART TV. The dual aspect kitchen/diner with light flooding Velux windows, provides a super entertaining area and all ages of the family can be accommodated as there's a downstairs bedroom.
Sunnyside is ideal for family groups or friends' get togethers or couples wanting a secluded and comfortable base for relaxing or touring around Suffolk's Heritage Coast which provides endless opportunities for cycling, walking, bird watching and more.

Summary: we were able to check in earlier which enabled us to have more time to enjoy Southwold. The house was very comfortable with a large enclosed garden for our dog. We will certainly be back!!

Summary: Thank you Elizabeth and Torben for a fantastic weekend at Sunnyside. The house is beautifully furnished, and has everything you could need including games, Netflix, wi-fi, radio, cooking utensils, utility area, boot rack, dishwasher tablets and lots more. It is warm, quiet and cozy, with loads of parking space. We had a lovely open fire in the evenings (kindling provided and wood from the local store) and slept wonderfully in the comfy beds. The big fluffy bath towels were a bonus, as were the hand-soap, washing up liquid and loo rolls! We had a bottle of prosecco, some Southwold fudge and crisps, with a lovely welcome note on arrival. Perfect location literally on a footpath across the marshes to the beach. We had a wonderfully chilled weekend. Thank you so much for the early check-in and late check out, so very much appreciated. Summary: The house is really lovely, clean and well equipped. There is everything you could possibly need there. The beds are very comfortable. The owner communicates really well. We really liked it and would return in a flash.

Summary: This was our second stay at sunnyside . We had a wonderful 5 nights here. Four adults and one very happy dog . The cottage is beautiful and lovely and clean . Your not to far away from a beautiful walk including down to the beach and Southwold . Communication with the hosts was fantastic . We were all sad to leave and will be booking again for next year . Summary: The property was clean and welcoming and close to a footpath to the beach which even the 4 year old could enjoy. The children also loved the garden. The local shop was most useful. We had a lovely week, helped by the most amazing weather.

Summary: Cottage was a high standard, very clean and comfortable, helpful info about local amenities and places to visit, and well equipped for both self-catering and entertaining with lots of games plus kids activities available in the shed. Large garden was great for our sporty son to use up some energy. Owner was friendly and helpful with good communication. Location was great - just a short walk from Southwold seafront and the town of Southwold. It's a lovely part of the country with other lovely villages and beaches nearby. Plus Norwich for shopping (useful distraction for grumpy teenage daughter ;)) Would certainly recommend the cottage and the area.
