Summary: Very clean. Great location. Comfortable seating ,nice secluded garden Bath shower not easy to get out of if any mobility issues , could do with anti slip mat and holding rail. Crockery kept in living room at a low level. . Again not great for older guests. First time ever been to a quality cottage and had no welcome pack Great week sunshine easy walk into Burford. On busy days a bottleneck at lights to get onto bridge into town which can cause big delays even if going north away from town

Summary: The Reading Room provides a luxury comfortable base for exploring the Cotswolds . We were blessed with amazing sunny weather for the time of year so enjoyed the lovely garden .. there is a little traffic noise at peak times but that didn’t ruin the experience. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances , full size dishwasher, washer /dryer, separate fridge & freezer & microwave, not much cupboard space left for any food except the fridge & also crockery & glasses & some of the cutlery are in the lounge sideboard which is fine but takes some remembering where things are . Welcome pack was 4 water bottles in the fridge & then in the cupboard plenty of lovely branded tea , olive & balsamic oils as well as usual salt & pepper. Lovely comfortable bed & pillows gave us 7 peaceful nights sleep . I would highly recommend staying at The Reading Room & hope to go back again .

Summary: The Reading Room is a beautiful, warm and bright cottage. There is something very special about it. I had a wonderful, solo, week long stay during January and just loved my time here. Jane and Bob are great hosts and they have thoughtfully provided everything guests could need. Unlike many self-catering cottages that are managed and serviced by other agencies where you have no connection with the owners, the owners of The Reading Room are available and their personal connection to the property shows, from the generous starter pack to their excellent and informative communication before and during the stay. Stay Cotswold also provided excellent customer service. Other plusses, a lovely garden with plenty of seating, very comfortable beds, and a great, quiet location. Visit highlights included dinner at the Carpenter's Arms Pub (short walk) for delicious food and friendly service, the short walk to Burford shops and longer walks to The Burford Garden Company and the village of Swinbrook. Also, a 4 hour driving tour of the Cotswolds with Rural Rides. And most of all the kindness of the hosts! I will return.

Summary: We stayed here as two adults and a 10 month old. Perfect size of home and the hosts couldn't have been friendlier. The house was spotless and the furnishings in top condition. We will certainly come back.

Summary: Great location 2 minutes walk to a great pub which does good value food. 15 minutes walk into Burford which great shopping and cafes. The Reading Room is super comfortable, nicely decorated and is very well equipped. The owners are across the courtyard and checked on us once to introduce them selves. Off road designated parking spot which was ample for our large car. There are some great circular walks from the property. Many interesting places to visit within 10-20 min drive including Clarkson’s Farm Shop and Pub.

Summary: We stayed in the Reading Rooms for 4 days in mid-May. We found this Cotswold cottage provided an excellent base and an ideal location for exploring and visiting well known places of interest in the area. The Reading Rooms offered a very high standard of accommodation with every convenience and amenity in situ including on site parking. We met the cottage owner Bob who was very genial and provided us with much useful local information including a recommended visit to the nearby Burford Garden Centre Company which we did visit and found to be the largest Garden emporium we had ever visited. We throughly enjoyed our stay at this charming Cotswold cottage, situated just to the North of Burford, and would not hesitate in making a return visit.
