Our recently renovated 19th century farmhouse along the historic old national road is several doors down from the best B&B in the region- Hartzell House. We offer an affordable alternative, with a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy dining room with an antique trestle table, a large relaxed living room with a large flat screen tv and separate reading area, a front porch with rockers and a back patio with a table and chairs. Out back is wonderful acre of grassy lawn- perfect for lawn games, toasting marshmallows and star gazing. Upstairs, we have three well appointed bedrooms. The master bedroom is especially nice, privately located with windows on three sides, new maple floors, a walk-in closet, and a large screen flat panel TV. The bed is comfortable- a firm king with a memory foam topper. The second bedroom has a firm queen bed, also with a memory foam topper, and the third bedroom a pair of bunk beds. We have basic cable, high speed internet, and an assortment of indoor and outdoor games. Addison is central to everything the Laurel Highlands has to offer. Summary: We booked the house in to take my son to run the Allegheny Ohiopyle marathon . This was a great location 25 minute drive to Ohiopyle, 10 minutes to Confluence . the House was clean, easy to check in and check out . Nice back yard neat historic neighborhood ... Great weekend . Will book again to go rafting in the summer.

Summary: If you’re looking for a cozy house with a nice location for activities in the region, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more central location if your aim is to sightsee and visit places in southwest Pennsylvania, western Maryland, and the Cheat River region of West Virginia. We stayed in February 2023 and took the opportunity to explore Ohiopyle including Ohioypyle Falls, Cucumber Falls, the GAP trail and the Ferncliff trail. We also checked out the Fallingwater House grounds and made a trip up to Kentuck Knob (though, we learned this house’s grounds were not yet open for the year). The rental house was a great base for us. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and easy going father/son weekend. We grilled both nights of our stay on the provided Weber charcoal grill. The host provided grilling utensils. We had a fire Friday evening in the outdoor fire pit. We made breakfast in the large galley kitchen on the vintage gas stove. The kitchen, fully furnished, also came with a hot water kettle which was useful for us using our portable espresso maker. The kitchen does also come with a coffee maker, which we made use of to make a carafe of coffee. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, a cutting board, plenty of utensils, and more than enough dish ware. There is no dishwasher, but there is a dish drying rack available beneath the sink for cleaning and drying the dishes. There is a washer and dryer available in the unit, but we did not have a need to make use of these. We enjoyed watching movies in the evening on the comfy sofas. During the downtime of the days, the bookshelf had quite a few good books to leaf through to pass the time. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of space in the home. I can speak to the middle bedroom which had a comfy and firm memory foam mattress. I slept very well. The bathrooms were clean and pleasant to use. There is a full bathroom upstairs and a half bathroom downstairs. In the full bathroom, you’ll find plenty of extra towels located beneath the sink. The water pressure of the shower was strong and the water was quickly hot. Overall, I would stay here again in an instant and look forward to the next opportunity that we will be in the area.

Summary: We loved the cozy home and will definitely rent again! We have family in the area and sometimes need a pet friendly location to stay. This house was wonderful and had comfy beds! Our dog loved the big back yard!

Summary: We were in the general region to see some Frank Lloyd Wright homes. Though Ohiophyje is set up with the tourist infrastructure and has the falls which are nice, we really enjoyed our time here. The den has a cozy rustic atmosphere. There is a really rad vintage gas stove. We loved listening to the sounds of the sheep grazing nearby while hanging out in the backyard. There is a lovely view from the hill where the cemetery is in town. Only caveat is that the eating options are pretty basic in the town, as is the grocery so you may want to stop by a real supermarket before you come to gather provisions. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Summary: We used this house as a base for cycling the entire GAP Trail from Pittsburgh to Cumberland. Nice yard and porches front and back. House is well equipped and attractive.

Summary: Our plans changed at the last minute and this place was perfect. We spent the day at Ohiopyle, just 15minute. We had a great day of hiking and came back to this cozy house! It was equipped with everything we needed.

Summary: It was an interesting place to stay. Everything seemed clean, but the microwave shot sparks and caught on fire. Our much anticipated popcorn was ruined. There is a great park down the street to walk your pooch.

Summary: This house has a lot of personality. Very comfortable, lots of space, while still being cozy. The beds are very comfortable - pillows could use an update. The yard is large and well-kept. The antique sporting equipment decor and pottery collections add a nice touch. There is a unique gaming table for chess, checkers, poker, etc. The town itself is charming with a lot of history. The house is close to Deep Creek as well as other fun spots in PA - Ohiopyle, etc. The kitchen is well-equipped (we never used the stove but I LOVED it!). Trestle table in the dining room was my personal favorite. The house could use a deep clean - it isn’t dirty by any means but dusty here and there, some walls could use a wipe down, some closets are a little cluttered, a few areas a little cobwebby, etc. None of this is anything major and would not keep us from staying again - all the high touch areas are clean, kitchen and bathrooms are very clean, beds are clean, etc. I’m sure it’s still cleaner than my house 😂. The property owner was very responsive to questions before and during our stay. Very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again.
