Summary: Great property. As advertised. So quiet but had Irvington and white hall right there for anything we needed. Found a few great restaurants. Communication w Dave was great. We will certainly be back.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holly Haven Retreat with our adult children. From kayaking, corn hole, ping pong, and board games, to eating at Sals, Los Patrones, the Car Wash Cafe', and antiquing at Rivah or just hanging out on the screened in porch...We had a great getaway! Summary: What a great week in Weems. The river house was really cute and comfortable and gave us more than enough room with our family of 6. The game room gave us extra space and even another bed using the couch for the boys who wanted to stay up and play ping pong and watch tv. The beds and linens were comfortable and the house is stocked with significant amenities for cooking and entertainment. The walk down to the river and dock is relatively short and is lit in the evenings with solar lights. We could sun during the day and fish off the dock. Dave provided extra chairs for this! The location is beautiful and quiet. We slept really well and enjoyed the peaceful setting. The screened in porch was key this week with the rain. It allowed us to still enjoy the river views and feel like we were somewhat outside on the couple days where the rain was constant. Otherwise, we had our morning coffee out there which was a daily pleasure. Ping pong table was a big hit. We had tournaments each night with the family. We also used the bicycles a few times to drive up and down Holly Haven. Kayaks were great to have access to. We took them out to explore. In the cove the water was so calm and smooth, it was really easy to put them out. We saw a bald eagle and heron. And a huge orange tabby who seemed to be keeping an eye on everything from next door. The solo drive and firewood were fantastic to have at the house and not have to bring. It allowed us to stay outside in the evenings.

Summary: We had a great stay at your place. Wonderful size for family of four! Teens loved the rec room - played many games of ping pong. Loved the kayaks for morning creek run. It was so peaceful and quiet. Had the creek to ourselves. We did the silo stove each night and did smores. House was great. Only downside would be not a bike riding place. Roads are 55 speed limit around the area and not ideal to ride to Irvington or even the sports complex. But that is not the houses fault.. Would highly recommend stay and also the host was wonderful!

Summary: My husband and I had a wonderful week at Holly Haven! The house was clean and well set up. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few basic meals (the provided spices came in handy!), the bed was comfortable and the theater room was so fun! The screened in porch was used a lot for reading and watching the wildlife. It was great having kayaks provided so we didn't need to haul so much from home. The area is perfect to paddle around and explore and we were surprised at how quiet it was for the summer even on the weekend. While it was only the 2 of us this house could easily accommodate a family or group of friends. This house will definitely be on our "stay at again" list.

Summary: This house had everything we needed to make a complete family vacation. From the location to the extra towels and the soft beds, we enjoyed it all. The home is tucked away on the river and had a great boat dock for us to rent a boat. The bathroom and kitchen had more than enough toiletries and utensils. They even had a crab boil pot. The beds were perfectly soft and the views from the patio were beautiful. We enjoyed the outdoor/indoor BBQ and the kids had their own rec room which they couldn’t get enough of. David’s communication was fast and he was such a pleasure to chat with. He took care of anything we needed and that’s why we will be returning. Thank you for opening your home to our family a fur baby!

Summary: Loved being on the water and in the woods. We wenjoyed the willdlife and kayaking while enjoying evenings on the Back porch. Would definitely stay again. The bedding was super comfortable.

Summary: Booked this trip for my immediate family and my parents and sister as a time for us to all be together and relax after a busy and some times stressful, year for our family. The home was absolutely perfect and the host had everything we could ever need. The view of the water is spectacular and would be enjoyed all seasons of the year. This home has definitely been added to our return list! Highly recommend.

Summary: We stayed here for Christmas holiday, as my sister lives close by. This place fit the bill for my husband and I, our college age son, and my parents. Rooms were good size and we managed with the two full baths in the main house and our son used the one in the game room annex. Beds were comfortable. We loved the firepit overlooking the river and spent many cocktail hours there. Only a couple minor challenges: motion sensor light coming on (probably due to animals) and filtering into the primary bedroom; upstairs toilet was wobbly (probs just needs to be bolted tighter); we heard mice running in the walls during night (NBD as long as they stayed in the walls), and the kitchen was not equipped as much as we had preferred. We missed items like serving bowls, glass casserole pans, metal spatulas, tongs, cheese grater, etc. We cook a lot so we did struggle a little. But kitchen was good size, appliances were good, and we especially liked the coffee counter. We appreciated that pets were welcome and our geriatric dog enjoyed the grounds and morning walks along the nice long driveway. GREAT location, spectacular river view and proximity to popular spots in the area. We would def stay here again, despite the kitchen items we missed.
