This fascinating detached baronial mansion property, assures you total privacy, with its very large private garden that is a mix of Mediterranean flowers tropical and succulent plants, palms, olive, pines and lemon trees. Here you can find a big private swimming pool, with a chromium therapy shower, open from March to October, several terraces with sea view, patios and meadows, all those areas are equipped with tables, chairs and long chairs
In the garden under the shade of trees there’s also a very useful barbeque corner where you can prepare your food, then it might be difficult for you to choose where you like to consume it, if in one of the numerous terraces having a wonderful view including sea view, Taormina and Calabria, just in the grass in front of the house under the shade of trees or on the swimming pool border.
The house is provided of a very big kitchen as well very big drawing room and dining room provided of air condition and fireplace where the guests may spend friendless moment all together. Summary: Our Family with children and grandchildren, 10 in total from 8 to twice 80, spent a week in this magnificent Villa, which has belonged to the host family for generations. Large rooms with high ceilings on two floors. Stylishly classic and cozy furnished with antiques and authentic pictures and decorations and more. Everything lived up to the description. From the 1st floor there is a nice view of Etna, which we enjoyed every evening. The villa is located in a small park with an exciting Mediterranean vegetation, old trees, olives, grapes, fragrant flowers etc. From an elevated terrace and from the lawn a fantastic view over the coast towards Taormina and the Ionian Sea. The good weather gave us the opportunity to use the large swimming pool. Yes, we couldn't even take advantage of all the glories. The hosts, Maria and Francesco, are very sympathetic and helpful. The same goes for the house elf Rosalia! We could easily have used another week! And, if only we had mastered a little more Italian. Christian and Vera Michelsen - with family from Denmark Vores årlige familietræf gik til denne prægtige klassiske Villa med højt til loftet ved foden af Etna. Den har været i deres families eje i generationer. Det ser man i den klassiske møblering og dekoration, som er overdådig. Haven er nærmest en park med fin gammel middelhavsbevoksning. Summary: Our Family of ten spent 10 wonderful days in this beautiful Sicilian villa. The villa is charming and spacious, the garden is a lucious park and the pool area is large and Perfect for enjoying days of bathing and relaxing. The hosts Francesco and Maria provided all the information We needed at any time. The maid Rosaria was a wonderfully positive part of the experience, and her service in cleaning, tidying and generally keeping the house in check made the holiday extra relaxing for us. She also mase us a typical Sicilian dinner one night, and her food was some of the best we enjoyed. Thank you all for a lovely holiday! We happily recommend this villa and its hosts.

Summary: You will find captivating beauty, the culture of the country and a slice tranquility on the 3 acre grounds that surround this spacious mansion that is nested in the cooler temperatures of the mountain. The pool was huge and kept our grandkids busy each day. Plenty of room for 3 families to gather yet have private space. Maria and Francesco were lovely and offered information about surrounding activities and a bit of history. Rosaria, the wonderful housekeeper, visited daily to tidy up and assure we were relaxing. I considered her a bonus. I am very picky about cleanliness and it met all my standards and beyond. Popular historic cities were within convenient driving distance. A close airport after a long flight was clearly appreciated On a 5 point scale this is absolutely a 10 point experience. Many thanks Maria, Francesco and Rosaria for making us feel like family and always being available to ensure a fabulous vacation.

Summary: If you are looking for a place to stay that oozes history and character this is it. This old beautiful villa and charming garden with a fantastic pool is great for relaxation after you have been out to explore the area. You can cook your own meals and eat inside in the typical Italian style dinner room or outside with lots of space and a beautiful view. There is plenty of space to play football and run around in the garden which is actually more like a park. We stayed two families with six children aged 5-13 and five adults so eleven of us in total. The hosts Maria and Francesco are extremely sweet and helpful. Anything you ask and they come running immediately. If you have a problem they do all they can to solve it. On my mums' birthday they even bought a beautiful cake and a card for her. There is a very helpful cleaning lady, Rosaria, which for us was a bit superfluous, but she comes with the house and she is very sweet and helpful. The location is great, close to Taormina, Etna, Catagnia, Acireale, Syracusa etc. - there is plenty to do and see. There is a local bakery, supermarket, pizzeria and butchers all in walking distance. The house is big and spacious - it was a little on the cold side in October but Francesco and Maria supplied us with extra duvets and gave us firewood for the fire, which was very cozy at night. The showers could do with an update, but this is a minor thing compared with everything the place has to offer. I will highly recommend this place to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience in a very charming house with great hosts.

Summary: The gracious, old fashioned house sits in really beautiful mature gardens of over three acres. It is very traditionally Sicilian, and evocative of Montalbano. Rosaria, the maid, and Maria, the owner, organised four absolutely delicious meals for us during our two week stay - the sort of typical Sicilian home cooking one does not find in restaurants. We all absolutely loved our stay, and felt very fortunate to be in a place where we could pretend to be Sicilians for a short time. A very short drive away there is a small, but good, supermarket, a very good pasticcheria, and a good fruit & veg shop. As it is fairly near the motorway, one can get to quite distant places within one and a half to two hours to see baroque architecture or ruins. Or just lie by the pool.......

Summary: We stayed at this beautiful house outside of Catania for 8 days and had a fantastic time. The property is from the 1800s and is beautiful. The garden is incredible, and so is the view. Francesco and Maria welcomed us and Rosaria was incredibly helpful and sweet during our stay. About a 30-minute drive to Etna volcano and 35-minute drive to downtown Catania (depending on traffic). We highly recommend!

Summary: Dear Francesco, Maria and Rosaria, Thank you for your friendly welcome and kindness. We had a lovely stay in your charming old Sicilian villa with a lot of space and a very private peaceful garden. It was great to wake up and see the Etna and have our breakfast, looking at your lovely garden. There is al delicious baker close to the villa and a supermarket. Our 6 kids, 6 till 16 years old, enjoyed playing in the garden with flowers and butterflies. The swimming pool was very private and properly cleaned every day. Rosaria did our house-cleaning, and always with her beautiful smile. You have to pay for her, but it was worth every penny. She is the most sweetest and friendly person to have around. The children also adored her. The location of your villa was also perfect and gave us the oppurtinity to visit our family in Catania and Piaza Armarina. We can really recommand this villa to the people who love Italian styled house, as a base to visit all the nice places in Sicily or just take a relaxing day in the garden or at the swimming pool. It has everything you need for a vacation for 10-12 persons. Notice that the villa is in an old authentic condition, just like the pictures show on this site. The information on home away is very correct and the price was also according to what we expected. If you need to know more, do not hesitate to mail Fransesco, he will answer your questions very correctly and also during our stay very helpfull.

Summary: Charming house, with a beautiful garden and great pool. We stayed two families in the big house and it went very well. The garden is giant. More like a small park. The children were playing in the garden every day, but they mostly bathed in the pool which was great as a hotel pool. The house is like a small manor house with large rooms and high ceilings. We felt a bit like kings and queens :) Everything was very charming - but some bathroom and the kitchen were a little old-fashioned. But overall we loved the house!
