Our Chateau dates back to the middle of the 19th century. It was built by the architect 'Haussman' on the top part of the prestigious wine village of Mercurey, giving a fantastic view on the center of the village and the wineyards.
We have restored the Chateau during almost 2 years to give a level of luxury and comfort that matches 5 star luxury hotels.
All bedrooms have their private ensuite bathrooms. The pool is salt treated, heated from April to October included.

Summary: We came from all around: Hawaii, California, Colorado, and France and we truly could not believe the beauty of this chateau. What a stunning way to enjoy quality family time! Christophe was the best host I've ever had. From his communication to his care in your stay, he goes above and beyond. The chateau was...STUNNING. Very comfortable and roomy. We would 100% come back, but now knowing what Kasteliades is capable of we will most likely stay at another one of their locations!

Summary: Christophe has done a great job creating a magical Burgundy Chateau experience. The property is extremely spacious and well located to local amenities, the pool and BBQ area are great for socialising.

Summary: We were a group of 15 (8 adults and 7 children, ages 8-13) from New Zealand, Switzerland, and the U.S. We wanted a place that offered opportunities for walking, biking, swimming, wine tasting, and ample time to be together and catch up. We were not disappointed! The castle has everything you need and more, and Christophe was very helpful in providing information about the area and what to do during our stay. Ten of us went on the bike tour and highly recommend it as well. We are already talking about returning for our next reunion in a couple of years!

Summary: We had an amazing stay at Mercurey Castle in July. We wanted somewhere special to celebrate my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary and the Castle certainly delivered this in bucket loads. Plenty of space (we were 8 adults and 7 children), very well equipped with everything thought of (even 2 x high chairs for those who needed them!!) and plenty to keep the children and adults amused. We spent most of our time down at the pool which is a great size and has the advantage of a very useful pool room next to it with a fridge, microwave and hob etc. Amazing place and location, cannot recommend it highly enough. Summary: My family and friends (there were 12 of us) had the most fantastic time in Mercurey. Castle - the pictures don't do it justice. All rooms were well appointed and modern and there was plenty of room to have our own space but come together for fun and laughter. The children enjoyed the trampoline, fooseball table and of course the pool. The adults - the petanque, pool and of course the wine! You are literally surrounded by vineyards! We had several lovely walks to view points and nearby villages and Florian (ACTIVE TOURS - Bourgogne Evasion) and his bike and wine tour was superb. We highly recommend it. We learned so much about Burgundy and it's wine. He was even helpful in helping us organize a walk to Givry, for a Cremant tour the next day. It was all truly fabulous! We shall definitely be back. Summary: We rented this chateau with 11 other friends. It was a perfect place to be together. We went hiking, biking, and of course eating and drinking lovely wine. Afternoons were spent poolside exchanging stores of the day. Christophe hosted an amazing wine tasting experience at his house. We all left saying we would do this again!

Summary: A great location in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. The house was big enough for our family and offered amenities for everyone's taste. The house truly is amazing. We would spend every night by the pool hanging out with the family which was great. Because of the location it allowed us to take day trips to the surrounding cities like Dijon, Chalon-sur-Saone, Beaune, and Lyon. The village of Mercurey was great as well. You can throw a stone and hit a dozen different wineries. The bread shop was amazing. I also liked that there was a post office right in town. I like to write letters so this was very convenient for me.

Summary: When renting a vacation house from across the ocean, sometimes you get exactly what you expect and sometimes you are surprised. In the case of Chateau de Mercury we were overwhelmed by the entire experience. We were 11 people, all one family, with ages from 13-72 on our annual summer vacation. Upon driving up to the Chateau we were in awe. The pictures did not do it justice. We were greeted by Pascal, the “curator”. I chose that title because he seemed to take great pride in showing us the amenities and fixtures of the estate both inside and out. He took all the time we needed and had to take breaks now and then as we just looked on in wonder at all the sights to behold. The house has been fitted with all of the latest conveniences but at the same time exuded the charm you would expect from such a stately manor. The bathrooms had 5 star finishes and each one was better than the next. From jetted tubs to raised bowl sinks they were expertly designed to meet everyone’s needs. The kitchen was fit for a chef and had everything you could imagine needing though cooking was not what we were looking forward to. The beds were crisp and clean with pillows and mattresses both kids and adults wanted to take home. You can read about all of the amenities online but know this: EVERYTHING was thought of in this Chateau. Extra electrical outlets near the beds, 5 different coffee appliances, pool toys, yard toys, enough dishes for a wedding reception, spices galore and the activities list should be explored and utilized as all of the vendors we utilized were top notch. Kung “There is only One Kung” made our mornings a ritual of perfection. Breads fresh, coffee prepared, kitchen cleaned and table cleared. She does laundry! Use her and book early! Chef Thomas prepared a feast for the ages with wines procured by Christophe. We enjoyed every last morsel and his dessert was amazing! Air Escargot was a highlight for most of us. We rose over the roof of our chateau and watched the sun rise over the hills without a worry in the world. All of those things paled against the private wine experience at Christophe’s chateau just a short drive away. He invited us as a thank you but also offered an upgrade to explore his cellar and taste even more wines. We chose the upgrade and were not disappointed. Don’t spend the rest of your life wondering what you might have missed. Choose this chateau, book early and prepare to be amazed. It’s good to be the King . . . even if only for a week.
