A large yard surrounds the house including a small patio with a hot tub. The house has a connected garage that has a fully equipped gym for your use.
Quiet suburban neighborhood with friendly neighbors. In walking distance is a community swimming pool with outdoor swimming pool, hot tubs and sauna and a children’s playground, as well as a convenience store with basic items.
This family home is the perfect place to enjoy nature within city limits and the perfect location to quickly hop on route 1 so you can be on your way to the west or south coast of Iceland for sightseeing !

Summary: My family of 5 stayed at Ursula’s lovely home for our short visit to Iceland. The home was great for us to have family time, but also our own space to wind down at the end of a busy day. The kitchen was a dream to cook family meals in and my adult children loved the hot tub and close walk to the ocean. It was a wee bit of a drive to Reykjavík, but so worth it. Ursula was kind, responsive, and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Summary: We had a nice, short stay at this home and wish we could have stayed longer. It had plenty of room for our family of six and was a good jumping off point for the things we wanted to explore, not only in the city, but also outdoors. Special shout out to the wonderful coffee maker, food that Ursula left for us when we arrived, and the birthday cake! Make sure you get groceries on your way to the house as there is no market nearby. The closest market that we found was about 15 minutes.

Summary: A great place for a group. We were 8 adults. Each couple had their own room. There was a long table to fit everyone and lots of kitchen facilities and coffee making gadgets. Plenty of space.

Summary: Beautiful property perfect for our group of four couples. Surprise was that Ursula left basics and more in the fridge to help since we hadn't bought groceries yet Great location about 30 minutes from downtown Reykjavik. Quiet neighborhood and we even saw the northern lights from the back patio! Would not hesitate to book again!

Summary: If you're looking for a great villa within easy reach of the airport, Reykjavik and the Golden Circle look no further. We stayed for a week in this well-furnished villa, there were 5 of us and there is ample room. The house is beautifully furnished and has all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay - wifi for the kids (1000Mb if they ask!). We stopped off at a supermarket on our way from the airport (1 hr drive from the airport to the villa), but I would recommend that you go to the house first as Ursula provides some of the basics you'll need and you may end up buying some food that you don't need. The supermarket is only 15 mins drive away. Ursula was the perfect host and is very quick to reply to any questions you have. We stayed for a week and found it a great central location for a weeks' worth of visiting some of what Iceland has to offer. If you get a chance climb the mountain that's a 5 minute drive from the villa, the views are spectacular. There's 2 paths up the mountain - keep left for the easier route and DEFINATELY wear walking boots. Don't try this with trainers, you absolutely need shoes with a good sturdy grip. Gullfoss and the Gysers are excellent and well worth a visit. If you have kids and they want a burger we can recommend Tommi's Burger joint, about 20 mins drive. Great service and fantastic food. Be warned though, Iceland is not cheap. For a family of 5 a meal out is around £90. Would I use the villa again - DEFINATELY!

Summary: Lovely property, walkable to a pebbly beach with sea glass. Nice bedrooms with comfy linens. Hosts were immediately available. Super kitchen, fully stocked. Very clean, lots of room for our family of 7.

Summary: The house was just as advertised with 4 rooms that could have slept 6-8 people comfortably (we had 5 with us), a great home gym, a nice hot tub, and a spacious living room and kitchen. The hosts were attentive and extremely helpful before and during the stay. My wife and I were there with our 20 year old son, his girlfriend, and our 15 year old son and all had a great time. The property was about 30 minutes out of Reykjavik in a residential neighborhood that is across a bay from the capital so it is quiet with spectacular views of the city and the surrounding mountains. It was a good base of operations for the golden circle which started about 30 minutes away and was a only a little farther from the south coast and the peninsula where the Blue Lagoon is located. We found it to be a great mix of privacy and access to anything we wanted to do. It made for a very memorable journey for us.
