Positive: We always pick this hotel because it's close to Chinatown, and the rates aren't stupid expensive. Staff is lovely, beds are comfy, and the AC always works. The size of the bath alone makes this a must book hotel for us, two people can fit comfortably for a couple's bath.
Negative: I did notice our bathroom door had trouble shutting as the paint was peeling from the door, and our floor's ice machine didn't work, but that was about it.

Negative: We waited in the lobby for 45 minutes before someone was able to check us in. That is absurd. Horrible customer service. Everything else was fine.

Positive: The pillows were super soft but lacked support. The mattresses are a little on the firmer side, but still soft enough to be comfortable. It was perfect for me so I did not wake up with a sore back, but my husband started to feel sore towards the end of our stay. So it'll be different for everyone. The stairs were close to our room so we didnt have to travel far to go down to the lobby. Luckily we were only on the 2nd floor but it would be a hassle if we were any higher. Most of the elevators were out of order during and after our trip (5 day stay). Chinatown is a short walk away and there's so much to do that is close. Good choice if you wanna go to soldier Field, Chinatown or any other local site seeing. There was one time my friend dropped his wallet in the lobby and didn't realize. The receptionist noticed, grabbed it and called us. Luckily we hadn't gone too far and were able to come back to get it. Still, be careful with your belongings. You never know.
Negative: They offer a free breakfast, but had nothing but bread options: bagels, English muffins, donuts, sliced bread, and waffles. There was a toaster to heat things up, which is a benefit. They also offered butter and peanut butter for toppings. The only protein option. On day one they had hard boiled eggs WITH THE SHELL still on. The rest of the trip was just bread. So we had to go out and get real food, which was a huge inconvenience. But there are lots of great places nearby so choosing one was the hard part. The rooms and hallways are very much out of date. Our keys stopped working after 3 days and had to be reactivated. There was a stain on the curtains and the a/c had a hard time cooling down the room. The room was never boiling hot, but there were times I wished we could open a window or turn on a fan to get colder air flowing. The water pressure was horrible. You can change the shower head to different settings, but unless you choose jet, it's gonna come out like a water fall or fountain. Someone left their soap and shampoo in the bathroom, so who ever "cleaned" the room didnt throw it away. Just left it for us to find. So we left it there too. Some if the wash cloths we had had yellow stains on them. I brought my own stuff just in case, so I didnt use any of their towels for drying, just on the floor as a place to step when getting out of the shower. Some of the outlets near the beds had dark stains. Like it had been on fire or sparked at one point. Nothing happened during my stay though. But seeing that the smoke detector had been Removed from the room and all that was left was a big hole and wires in the wall from where it was...did worry me. Maybe it was because of high demand, but I wouldnt pay $900 again to stay here for a week. There are better, higher quality hotels in the same area that will offer real food as their breakfast and be much more maintained...for the same or slightly more then what I paid to be...here.
Summary: Decent place but not worth $900 for a week.

Negative: The breakfast chef was not very accommodating to us. Maybe he was having a bad day, he probably was stressed out by demanding customers. Albert and the cleaner staff were very helpful.
Summary: Our stay were decided but the whole facility needs a major overhaul.

Positive: I enjoyed how the hotel was near china town and away from all the busy traffic downtown.
Negative: Broken elevator, not enough staff to help clean the rooms in time for the next customer, broken ice machine, and the security of the building from who can get in.

Positive: The parking was great. No bedbugs and had clean towels.
Negative: The building could use a lot of TLC. The elevator was out of service, the ice machine was out of service. The areas that you could eat the complimentary breakfast were so sad and dirty. The carpets could be cleaned and walls painted. It just seemed like a crummy hotel that doesn’t get any love.
Summary: It filled the purpose I needed it to fill
