Positive: It is a cute house turned to hotel.

Negative: The square footage of the room was not mentioned on the Booking.com site. The picture of the room is misleading, looked larger but is a small room. Also, the rooms are all upstairs and there is no elevator which is also unmentioned in the website. If you have heavy suitcases, you have to lug it upstairs or call the Manager to request her help. The breakfast was good, however very limited quantity. The woman in charge of the breakfast area kept going to the kitchen closing the door and every time we needed an extra toast or muffin, we had to kick on the door. This was a bot embarrassing to keep knocking for more food, so we left the place and had an early lunch on our trip onward.

Summary: Cute house/hotel but not for us.

Positive: The breakfast was excellent, with a nice assortment of breakfast foods to choose from. The main entrees changed each day of my stay. Even though the hotel is located in downtown Harrisburg, it was surprisingly quiet at night.

Positive: I had meetings that started too early to stay for breakfast. The room and house are fabulous. This is at least my 3rd time here. I got an early morning walk along the Susquehanna and across the old pedestrian bridge to the island - always a treat.

Positive: I love everything about this place! Beautiful, historic, very friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed. I just wish I could have stayed longer! Don’t forget to ask for breakfast in-room if you can’t make it for the 8:30 or 9am breakfast buffet!
