Summary: Overall a sufficient house for us to use for a weekend trip to Portland for a wedding. Neighborhood wasn't anything spectacular, but it was quiet and seemed safe. The house was basic in meeting our needs. Bathroom was nice and spacious.

Summary: The house was very cute and comfortable and met all of our needs for a wonderful time in Portland. The host was wonderful in communication and very helpful in suggestions for the area. Summary: This small home is in a good location for transit, walking to a food cart pod (best places to eat in Portland) getting to downtown or outdoor activities. It served our purposes well We were able to fix breakfast, prepare lunch for the day and sleep at the house. We tend to be very active so do not spend much time at the places we rent

Summary: Had a wonderful and comfortable stay. Home was roomy with high ceilings. Kitchen was not as fully stocked as we've experienced at other places, but it was certainly sufficiently stocked with things necessary to cook meals. It is close to a park with a playground, so we were there everyday with our toddler. It was a great home away from home!

Summary: We were a group of four adults and one 3-year old, with two cars. The listing advertised a parking permit which was no longer available, and our host was quick to respond and change the listing. We ended up with 3 adults, the kiddo, and one vehicle, and had no problems off-street parking and walking / busing anywhere we wanted to go. The house is nicely updated with all the quirks you would expect from a 100-year-old house. The food in the pantry and left in the fridge was a mix of expired/stale and still good. The brand-new fridge worked fine. The bathroom is also updated with a walk-in shower that you really have to walk into to turn the water on (cold!) and there is not a hand-held nozzle for showering small children. Luckily our 3-year-old is used to it as we don't have a tub at home, but filling a large pot in the kitchen and bringing it to the shower was kind of a pain. The dishwasher backed up into the sink a little when we ran it. The yard was fun for him to play in and find bugs in the overgrown weeds. The kids bikes have flat tires, and there were pieces of glass and garbage all over. With a quick sweep we got the trampoline usable again. There is a park just across Water St that is fun with a play structure each for tots and older kids. A short walk down 1st and through the pedestrian tunnel by Naito Pkwy and we had access to the OHSU aerial tram, Terwilliger pedestrian bridge over the Willamette, and all the light rail / bus lines in that area. For a bus downtown, we took the 12 from Barbur St. Overall great location, with just some upkeep issues and the unexpected shower design. With a little work this is a 5-star rental for sure.
